Everyone was glad that this school year was ending.

It was Spring Fling night for the junior class at North Shore at high school, and everyone needed it. The past year had been full of new kids from Africa, revenge parties, and the queen bee herself, regina george getting hit by a bus.

You walked into the balloon covered gym alongside your boyfriend and your best friend, all three of you in matching purple tuxedos made by janis herself.

“It looks great, Damian.” You told your boyfriend who had been working endlessly on this dance for the past few months.

Janis snorted from where she stood under the balloon arch, “Yeah, especially since most of the budget went to re-doing the school after Girl World attacked.” You had to admit she was right as you thought back to when the Burn Book was released causing havoc amongst the halls of the Chicago high school.

“Oo!” Damian clapped, his eyes twinkling as he looked up at stage to where all the King and Queen nominees were standing, “Let’s get going! They’re about to announce King and Queen!”

As you made your way towards the stage, you were quickly stopped by Cady, who was dressed in a mathletes jacket.

“Look,” The ginger said, fidgeting with her hands, “I know what I did to you guys was beyond horrible and I get if you don’t wanna be friends with me anymore, but I am so, s-“ She was then cut off as she was announced to be crowned Queen and ushered onto the stage.

You stood against Damian, his hand on your chest as you all watched Cady give her speech before breaking apart the crown in her hands electing a gasp from the crowd.

“Did she just?” Your boyfriend asked in shock, eyes wide as he watched the crown snap once again.

You hummed, patting his shoulder reassuringly, “I know, I know.”

As Cady began tossing out pieces of the crown to all the girls, everyone began making their way to the dance floor.

You turned to Damian, holding your hand out with a smile.

“Would the cutest boy in Chicago like to dance with me?” Damian opened your mouth to answer but Janis beat him to it, wrapping an arm around both you and your boyfriend.

“Sorry (Y/N), I already promised a dance to Karen.” She glanced over to where the blonde girl stood playing with a strand of her hair. “But I’m sure, that Damian would love to dance with you.”

You rolled your eyes at the artist before looking up at your taller boyfriend, “So what do you say?”

He slipped his hand into your own, blowing a kiss to Janis as he pulled you onto the dance floor, “Come on, let’s show these heteros how to rock it.”

- so you both are in the same ap bio class

- of course you know who regina george is (who doesn’t?) but you two have never interacted through out high school

- so when the teacher asks you to help tutor a student for extra credit you of course agree

- only to be very shocked when the student turns out to be the queen of north shore herself

- “regina, we’ve found you a tutor, ms. (y/l/n)”

- she just gives you a once over before going back to her seat

- leaving you to really question if extra credit is worth purposely being around her

- but your GPA

- so you decide to try just once (against your better judgment)

- a couple days have passed since you were assigned as regina’s tutor and you two hadn’t met up to talk about when you would meet...you hadn’t talked at all

- so it’s a big surprise when gretchen weiners appears at your lunch table telling you that regina wants to talk with you at their table

- reluctantly you follow gretchen to the middle of the cafe, watching as the rest of the student body stops in awe and part like the red sea

- so you reach the table and regina and karen are already there, not even glancing up at you

- you just kinda stand there wondering if this is really happening as gretchen sits down

- “thursday after school at my house.”

- and you’re so shocked that regina george is actually talking to you

- “wait...what?”

- that’s the moment when regina finally looks up at you, and you then understand why everyone wants to be her

- “for this tutor thing, remember? jesus, i thought you were supposed to be smart.”

- “i don’t have a ride.”

- “i’ll drive you then.”

- you’re positive you’re being punked at that moment

- but regina is just looking at you and you can’t help but nod, not believing that you were getting a ride from regina and then going to her house

- “umm...okay”

- “you can go now.” she says before shooing you off like a dog

- as you step away from the table you can finally breathe again but feel all the eyes on you, wondering what had just happened

- so thursday finally came and you are debating wether or not to play sick so you wouldn’t have to go to regina’s

- finally the bell rings and you head outside half-hoping that regina had forgotten about your session

- and then you see the pink car sitting in senior parking and you wonder how she even got that

- “get in loser!”

- you reluctantly follow her instructions and climb into the passenger seat of the car, sitting as far from regina as you can

- she doesn’t talk to you and you don’t talk to her

- throughout the entire car ride your contemplating if you would be able to survive a dive roll out of the car

- then you see the house

- it’s literally bigger than the school

- and then Regina gets out, and you scramble to follow her as she leads you through the front door

- you try not to gape at the house too much as regina leads you into the kitchen

- you feel so out of place with your converse and jeans in this shining kitchen

- then a woman who looks like an older regina walks in with a dog under her arm

- “honey! oh-who’s this?”

- regina barley glances from where she is making a fruit smoothie

- “(y/n). she’s helping me with science.”

- and you’re shocked that she actually knows your name

- and then you finally get up to her room where she takes off her jacket and gets onto her bed

- then it’s the awkward situation of where you sit

- so you just kinda stand there for a moment

- “jesus, are you gonna stand the whole time?” she rolls her eyes at you before motioning to the bed

- so you sit, and it’s a pretty big bed so you’ve got some distance between you two

- “so where do you wanna start?”

- she blinks at you “start what?”

- “bio.”

- “oh.” she turns her attention to her nails “wherever.”

- “umm, so on the last test“

- it takes you about twenty moments to understand that she isn’t paying attention to you at all and is just checking her phone

- “regina.”

- “what?”

- “it won’t help unless you pay attention”

- she just kinda looks at you and you really consider just leaving as she isn’t paying attention to you

- then out of the corner of your eye you catch a look inside of regina’s closet which is overflowing with shoes

- “hey regina, what if i told you bio was like shoes?”

- “what?”

- “well they’re made up of different types of elements”

- and from that moment regina was hooked

- you kept having study sessions every thursday and they got progressively less awkward

- you almost like hanging with her

- so one day during your session regina is doing a worksheet and she just goes, “do you wanna go shopping with me tomorrow?”

- you’re in shock “what?”

- “some of your shirts make me super sad and you’re really pretty so you could do better”

- “you think i’m pretty?”

- “did i stutter?”

- so the next day regina gives you a ride from school to the mall where you stumble after her as she parades around the stores

- after you’ve gone through what feels like 40 stores regina stops for frozen yogurt

- and then you sit next to each other on the fountain just eating your yogurt surrounded by all the bags regina bought for you

- regina drops you off at home saying that she’ll see you at school before giving you a kiss on the cheek and driving off

- you assumed she did that with her friends? (did regina have friends and were you one?)

- so after the weekend you walk into the cafeteria for lunch and are intercepted on your way to your table by regina

- “you’re eating with me.” she then just drags you along to the table and sits you next to her (gretchen looks like she wants to complain about her spot getting taken but doesn’t say anything)

- and then regina just turns to you and goes “so are you coming over to mine today?”

- and you think she means for a tutor session and she just blinks at you

- “you know we’re dating right?”

- and you’re very confused

- she chuckles a bit, “i like you, you like me, we’re dating now”

- it’s more of a business negotiation but you have a feeling she means it

Regina was finally gone.

North Shore was free from her reign.

And it was all thanks to Cady.

The new girl watched as all of the students rejoiced, free of Regina once and for all. She cast a smile towards where Karen and Gretchen were hugging each other by the table.

Fearless.

Cady then looked over to where Janis and Damian sat, they were both smiling and Janis offered a thumbs up while Damian provided jazz hands.

Fearless.

Her eyes then landed on you, where you were already looking at her. You stood a few feet away, at the table across from Cady next to where you had been throwing your lunch away when the whole mess went down.

Cady knew it was time to take her own advice.

Fearless.

She then hopped down off the table, flattening her skirt down quickly before she made her way across the floor, ignoring Gretchen’s calls. She pushed through the crowd of band geeks and jocks before she finally made it to you.

You’re smile grew as she stood in front of you, “Wow, pretty good job for a ne-“ You were then cut off by Cady’s lips pressing hard against yours.

In an instant your hands were cupping her face and her hands were pulling your waist closer to her. In that moment, all fear was gone, no more Regina, no more rules, it was you and Cady.

- when cady first comes to north shore she is pretty overwhelmed and a little nervous

- until she sits down in her world history right next to you

- cue stupid with love

- you two don’t officially meet until your two best friends janis and damian take her in

- when cady sees you again she becomes a giggly nervous wreck

- she gets all blushy whenever you even look at her

- you find it cute

- you warning her about regina

- she turns against regina when she makes a comment about you at the halloween party

- flash forward to when regina is taken down

- cady is being fearless she decides to kiss you in the middle of the cafeteria

- you obviously kiss back

- you two begin dating after that

- you’re concerned about her still being with the plastics even when regina is gone

- cady pushes it off, saying that it’s just in the plan

- she was supposed to be her date to the art show

- when you asked her she said that she would be there with you for janis

- after the show, with no sign of cady you get a twitter notification from kevin showing a picture of cady at her party

- you go with damian and janis to confront your girlfriend

- when you see her she is tipsy, dress ruffled, hair a mess, it makes you wanna cry

- “cady you said you’d be there!”

- “well (y/n) i can’t be there for everything, i knew dating such a needy person was a bad idea.”

- all of you freeze at that comment

- janis looks quickly from you to cady with anger

- damian pulls you into a hug

- you start sobbing

- cady sobers up realizing the extent of her world

- “(n/n) i’m so sorry-“

- “we’re done cady.” you tell her before damian leads you to the scooter with cady watching in disbelief

- janis glares at cady as she walks away, “have fun being plastic.”

- you can’t look at cady as you drive off

- that night damian and janis stay with you as you cry everything out, ignoring all of cady’s texts

- when the burn books is released you are put down as “a kiss-up”

- when cady takes the blame for the book even though you’re mad at her you know that it wasn’t her

- as cady walks out the school she gives you one last look

- it’s prom night and you are hanging around with damian and janis

- when cady comes in and is announced prom queen she looks at the crown and realizes it is nothing compared to you

- when she gets off the stage she gives you the last piece of the crown

- you two stare at each other for a long time

- “i know this stupid chunk of plastic isn’t gonna make up for what i did, but i am so, so, so sorry.”

- you smile lightly at her, taking the crown and tucking it into her red hair before taking her hands

- “it won’t. but a dance might be a start.”

- you two spend the rest of the night dancing with each other, eyes never leaving each other

actual dating stuff:

- you asking cady to tell you all about her time in africa, she loves telling you about all the animals and stories

- your favorite is when the monkey broke into her tent in the night when she was seven and snuggled up with her

- for date night, you guys lay on top of cady’s roof or your’s and look up at the stars with your hands intertwined

- you love taking her to walmart and target since she didn’t have grocery stores in africa, she loves being pushed around in the buggy and trying to make pyramids out of toilet paper in the aisles

- you were her first kiss

- her kisses are passionate and warm, her hands wrap around your waist and your hands cup her face as you melt against each other

- study dates where she helps you with math

- you going to every one of her mathlete competition and cheering her on with janis and damian

- you guys totally do cheesy couple stuff like sharing a milkshake with two straws (cady saw it in a movie and thought it was romantic)

- cady loves holding your hand

- like LOVES IT

- she loves just holding it or tracing her fingers over it

- her nicknames for you: star, babe, dork

- your nicknames for her: cads, cad-dy, math nerd, savanna girl

- you two love watching animal documentaries together

- cady is a terrible cook but she loves helping you out in the kitchen

- her parents LOVE you

- “cady, when is (y/n) coming over for dinner?”

- every halloween you guys dress up as really gory and scary couples costumes

- whenever cady plays game of life even without you, she always puts someone in the car next to her character at the beginning of the game to be “you”

- piggy back rides all the time

- she loves walking you to and from class

- overall you and cady being the best couple at north shore high

so this one happened while the show was still in DC and it was the cady quick change for revenge party (a lot happens with this quick change) and orginally there was a flash of lights and then cady comes out wearing normal clothes.

so the quick change happened but erika’s shirt wasn’t hooked in the back and her shirt ended up hanging off her waist and she was just in her bra. erika didn’t notice but barrett did and she walks behind erika trying to somehow tie the shirt back around her neck.

so by this point erika has noticed something is wrong and so has grey. so barrett takes off her janis jacket and then puts it over erika to cover her. then grey gets down on his knea and starts buttoning up the jacket. and this is all while they’re still going on with the scene.

so they get the jacket up just in time to start revenge party and the audience is just howling with laughter.

then ashley runs on for her little scene in the song, no idea what is going on, just looks at erika and goes “i like your jacket.”

then the curtian went down and the announcement came out saying there was a technical problem and then erika’s shirt was fixed and they re-started revenge party.
