What is the sober method?
The "Sober Method" is an acronym that stands for Stop, Observe, Breath, Expand, and Respond. This technique involves pausing whatever you are doing or about to do, and allowing yourself to be present in the moment. You then observe any sensations in your body and take deep breaths to calm yourself. Finally, you expand your awareness to include your surroundings and choose how to respond to the situation at hand.
