WOW

What a beautiful color of blue.

The Jair (Jean+Hair) that I ventilated on this wig is my "Natural" color, and I wanted to wrap the Jair with a very bold and cunning color.

Rummaging through my denim stack, I found this beautiful shade of denim, and immediately got to work with the de-shredding.

I lowkey ran out, but found a similar hue.

At first, I was disgusted with the idea of having a two-toned colored wig, but it turned out perfect. You can barely tell btw.

With two wigs under my belt, I feel more confident with my wig making process.

drawing on a wig cap, is the same way I would draw on a canvas.

Symmetry with the hair sections for this wig, is not my main focus. Defying gravity is.

I told myself, after this wig, I want to enroll in a wig making class, but I don't know if I have the patience for it..

Trial and error will always be my number one teacher.

I’m 100% about the details.

I brought a Sony ZV E10 camera last year, and this is my first time filming content with it.

And I’m using the starter lens.

The quality is so great, some have asked if the video is AI!

I wanted to add music to this post, but how do you do that? Lol.

The nicest people I’ve meet in Rio de Janeiro, reside in Rocinha Favela. It’s the largest Favela in Latin America, and operates as its own city.

Inside the Favela, you will forget are in Rio de Janeiro…. A portal if you will.

The locals are friendly, I ❤️ Baile de funke💃🏾, and the history of it all. The similarities between African, Caribbean, African American, and Latin cultures is always astonishing. It’s my favorite part about traveling.

Theres a discourse online whether visiting a favela is ethical or not. I’d say, treat everyone with respect, follow the rules, and gain more knowledge of how the world is working around you.

If you take the time to think about the entire process, it’s really awesome how everything comes together. Seeing dope in-studio photography of artist online, inspired me to create a wig that matches the color of my studio. Purple.

My studio is more of a Violet color actually. This is the first time in life where I’ve ever felt good about interior design. Different hues of Violet and Lilac are my primary bases of color, with pops of texture, animal prints, and neon colors. My initial thought for this studio was “y2k iridescent 3d online fancy rendering vibes.”

I’m so impressed with myself. All denim was sourced online. To create a beautiful color palette of Jair, with the right amount of highlights all from your phone, while possibly eating chips, will be my favorite thing about the beginning process.

It’s been a while since I updated my tumblr!

I didn’t forget just lazy lol

But as I turned another year recently, I told myself I need to do better with my life documentation, and on a timely matter.

This by far is my favorite piece I’ve crated thus far. I have explored technique of blending denim colors of different hues to get my point across.

This time my point is makeup.

Decided to downsize my art recently.

Doing big pieces means I have to dedicate more time

Which is never a problem until I’ve almost reached completion and become lazy lol.

Not to mention the cost of shipping.

I rather bring that pack (art pieces, stay focused lol) on the plane with me!
