Good afternoon all, we’ve not touched base here for a very long time and that is because we have a new addition to our family... (well, not so new any more) our beautiful little man Theodore will be one year old soon! Time seriously does fly... Anyhow, thought we’d just say hi... here’s a little picture of the shop, we started back in Studio 25 at Manchester Craft and Design Centre in November and it’s great to be back surrounded by Creatives. ...and here’s a pic of our wee man at the @manchesterartgallery a while back... We’ve had A LOT of gallery trips together :)

Can't get enough of this one. Possibly my favourite combo yet.

Here's a commission I've been working on for my first ever Empire shade. It certainly was a tricky one which involved algebra and lots of careful planning but I got there and I'm delighted with the result!!! Now that I've cracked the formula, I'm ready to take on your Empire shade commissions! (Empire meaning narrower at the top than the bottom) Have you got an antique lamp stand that's waiting for the perfect shade? It's always lovely to receive emails from happy customers but it's even better when they send photos of shades in their new homes! This customer has become a bit of a collector over the years, specifically of the Loopy Wall lights! They actually bought the last few Tortoiseshell Loopy lights we had in stock recently. The end of an era for those guys. The imitation tortoiseshell was a vintage 60's plastic. It was made from Cellulose Acetate which was made from plants and trees rather than oil which is used these days. We restored the plastic and crafted it into pendant and wall lights. The customer also has a glacier green frosted acrylic shade in their bedroom which fits in beautifully with their decor! We will dig out some more customer photos soon for you to take a look at!

I am delighted to tell you about my involvement in the Sale Arts Trail next month!  You will find my work in Bean and Brush Art cafe 11th - 13th July (L on the map) I will also have a piece in the Waterside Arts Centre alongside all the other makers!

You may have noticed we've been quiet of late, well we have been busy little Manchester bees! In January we moved shops over to Studio 25 in the Manchester Craft and Design Centre and we have also been nesting into our brand new mill workspace with Lily Greenwood. We have a busy year ahead so you wont see us at any trade shows or large exhibitions in 2014. If you wish to place a bespoke order please get in touch or come and visit us in the Craft Centre!
