The worst thing about those who complain about the most petty things in the world (i.e. the type of shoes Clary is wearing) is that they make the entire fandom look snobbish and ungrateful. And the entire fandom isNOT snobbish and ungrateful. There are so many people who are so welcoming and supportive of each other, of the cast and crew, and of the story, and those people are being trampled on by the fire starters.

I don’t think you guys realize the honor we are being done. The Mortal Instruments got a second chance!!! And I don’t know how much experience you guys have with the entertainment industry, but the rarity of something being redone is astounding. Hollywood is always looking for something new, something fresh, a new idea that will rocket them into fame. And, let me tell you, The Mortal Instruments is the farthest thing from a new idea. The fact that we’re getting a TV show, especially after the movie was such a huge flop, is absolutely amazing.

And half of you are worried about the ethnicity of the cast. Or about the kinds of clothes everyone is wearing. Or why this character is there. What you SHOULD be worried about is the plot. As long as they stay true to the plot and the integrity of the story, the TV show will be wonderful. I promise you, and I personally have full faith in the people who are working on this.
