And just like that, it’s June again, and yes, you and me both have been waiting for this schedule to drop for a hot minute. So, without further ado:

This year we’ve got a special treat: @ravenclaw-headcanons will be hosting a Chamber of Secrets reread in honour of the books 20th release anniversary, so we decided to collab Happy birthday, Chamber of Secrets! More details will follow shortly, but in the meantime, make sure you go follow them so you don’t miss any updates.

So, we know we’re in the same year as Charlie and Tonks, right? According to the Harry Potter Wiki, Charlie and Tonks attended from 1984-1991, so from there you can figure out what year it is:

Since the reread for philosopher’s stone last year was so fun I’m pleased to announce that this year, in honour of its 20th anniversary, I’ll be hosting a Chamber of Secrets reread for everyone to get involved in!

And what’s even more exciting is this year we’re teaming up with #harrypottersummer so the schedules will line up and you can take part in both events if you want to! If you’re unaware, harrypottersummer is an annual event where people reread the entire series over the course of the summer and you can learn more about it here but, if that sounds a bit too intense for you, please still feel free to get involved in all the chamber of secrets fun that will be going on here!!

By popular consensus we’re going to be reading 2 chapters a day. Obviously that’s not a binding contract so feel free to go at your own pace, but that’s the speed at which all the fun shenanigans will be happening on this blog. At that rate the reread will last us 9 days so the event will be running from June 24th to July 2nd (the actual 20th anniversary)

Get involved however you want; art, videos, reading in a new language, posting about the little things you never noticed before, everything is welcome! On this blog I’m going to be posting my own thoughts on each chapter as well as a discussion question for each chapter so hopefully we can get some good debates going!
