1. Since the start of the semester, I have completed all the work I had lined up and completed all my internship hours.

2. For the last week, I’ll be pushing out a final Instagram post including pictures of me working with Olelo.

3. An AHA moment I had came from results of my Google Form on Artificial Intelligence. There’s no clear line of ‘for’ or ‘against’ Artificial Intelligence. The results were close to half and half.

1. Since the start of the semester, I have completed all the work I had lined up :) I have officially completed my 120 internship hours with Olelo Community Media!

2. For the next two weeks, I’ll be posting final results from my google form and any last words for my Instagram account. 

3. An AHA moment I had was when I helped out with the Olelo YXC. In 2022, I participated in the competition as a High School Senior. Now as a College Senior, I helped with the production. It was a full circle moment for me!

1. Since the start of the semester, I have completed pre-production and production stages. I’m now in my post-production stage of posting my results from interviews. 

2. For the next two weeks, I’ll be posting results from my final interview on my google form results Instagram.

3. A hiccup I had was sorting through so many Google Form submissions. I got around 50 submissions so dissecting each one and finding what was important to share was hard for me. Luckily, google form has charts of overall data which is useful, but the word submissions were a lot to look through.

6. On my timeline, I’m currently in week 12 of my post-production stage. This consists of posting my interviews, completing the last stretch of internship hours with Olelo, and posting google form results Instagram account. I hope you enjoyed my progress so far. Thank you! 

1. Since the start of the semester, I’ve completed my Pre-production, nearing the end of my Production, and going into my Post-production phase. These past two weeks I’ve been finishing up pushing out my google form on Artificial Intelligence views and analyzing my interview results. 

2. For the next two weeks, I'll be looking over my interview results, google form results, and posting my findings on Instagram. I’ll be creating easy to read Q & A infographics to share interview quotes and charts for the google form results.

3. A hiccup I had was getting more google form submissions. Pushing it out to the public was harder than I thought. I had to ask for assistance from Olelo Workers and my Social Media accounts to get more public submissions. This is to include those who aren’t in the Creative Industry and get more diversity in my results. I had to remind people through email and in person to push out the google form multiple times to get the amount of submissions I wanted.

1. Since the start of the semester I’ve completed all my pre-production phase assets (branding, posting calendar, interview questions, google form, social media start up) and some production phase assets (interviews, pushing out google form). These past two weeks I’ve been in my production phase. I completed three interviews and began pushing out my google form on Artificial Intelligence affecting the creative industry. 2. For the next two weeks, I'll be looking over the scripts and audios of my interviews. Also, I’ll be continuously pushing out my google form until March 8th. When looking over my interview content, I’ll be noting quotes and important information that I want to be shared on my capstone Instagram account. 

3. A hiccup I had was getting my last interviewee because the person I originally wanted to interview wasn’t at work. Thankfully, I had another volunteer to take their place, so I was able to complete my three interviews. 

4. Some deliverables I have to share are screenshots from two of three of my completed interviews! Each interview was nearly thirty minutes long with a full script for me to analyze.

1. Aloha! This is my Tumblr Post #2. These past two weeks I’ve been getting to the work flow with Olelo Community Media. I attended some media training sessions and learned about the company’s mini studio equipment. As for my project, I completed my social media posting calendar and completed my capstone google form about Artificial Intelligence in the Creative Industry. The pre-production stage is nearly done and soon I’ll be moving into my production stage

2. For the next two weeks, I’ll be conducting my interviews with 3 Olelo members and pushing out my google form as much as possible. I have a more clear idea of my working schedule with Olelo so my internship hours will start to increase. 

3. Some hiccups I had were finalizing my interview questions and google form questions. I wanted to get a good amount of information without repeating similar questions or taking too much time to interview. I went back and forth between adding questions and cutting some out, but completed a good list in the end. Also, earning internship hours was slow in the beginning but I’m starting to go on track with a clear working schedule.

1. Aloha! This is my Tumblr Post #1. Since the start of my semester, I’ve started my internship with Olelo, set up my Capstone Instagram account, posted an introduction that account, completed a branding style guide, completed a social media posting calendar, started my google form questionnaire to push out, and started my interviewee listings and options.

These past weeks were my pre-production phase of planning a lot of things to accomplish my goals. On January 15th, I had my orientation with Olelo Community Media and it went awesome. I got to see the Mapunapuna location and learn more about the non-profit. 

2. For the next two weeks, I’ll be finishing up my pre-production stage by completing my google form and narrowing down the interviewee list and questions. I’ll also be aiming to complete 15-20 hours a week for my internship with Olelo. I’ll also be setting up interviews soon after I confirm interviewees.  

3. Some hiccups I’ve had is starting to earn hours with my Olelo Internship. Earning hours is slow right now because it took some time to set up everything and complete orientation or classes. The beginning process was slower than I thought it would be. Meeting with my mentor took longer than I thought as well, but as things begin to get situated, I’m excited to start completing more hours for my practicum. At least I was aiming to complete 10 hours a week, but I need to play catch up now and complete more hours to reach my goal of 120 by the end of the semester.

6. On my timeline, I’m currently in week 3 pre-production. I have one more week of pre-production than I should be starting my production phase. I’m on time for my pre-production stage but I’m falling behind on my timeline for internship hours. I know I can make it up and make my goal though so I’m excited to continue this journey. Jamie Perreira - Capstone Introduction

Hi! My name is Jamie Perreira.

My capstone topic is about artificial intelligence effects on the Creative industry. My research question “How does AI affect those in the creative industry?” During my research in the precapstone class, I learned about past, current, and possible future effects of artificial intelligence. For my capstone practicum, I’ll be doing an internship with Olelo Community Media. ʻŌlelo is a non-prohit organization that empowers our communities to share their stories using the powerful medium of video. I’ll be pulling creative individuals from Olelo’s community to complete 3 interviews and do research on what people think about artificial intelligence through a google form questionnaire. I’ll be sharing the knowledge I gain from my research on Instagram so that other creatives can also gain knowledge about this topic. This internship and practicum will allow me to bring my research to real life and learn more about the creative industry. 

The capstone project that stuck out to me was John Amita’s project on “What makes non-profits unique?” I thought it was interesting that he researched about non-profits and expanded his knowledge volunteering at YMCA, a non-profit, for his practicum. Both go hand and hand with each other. This also resonates with me because I’m also volunteering at a non-profit for my practicum. For his deliverable, he made a series of videos from interviews of YMCA workers' experience working with the non-profit. I loved getting to know the interviewees and listening to their stories. I think he did an awesome job on his project and deliverables.
