I prefer the motor-sport livery on this version. I made a very weird choice on highlight colours though, that I'm not sure how I feel about.

Mech from June last year, recoloured.
I can probably just stop saying "recoloured" whenever I post something for a second time (or more) because, whenever I do, it's always got a new livery.
I just enjoy doing multiple colourschemes to see the same design in a variety of different ways. I'd quite like to do alternate loadouts too, but I just don't have the time to get into that at the moment.
Also, most colourschemes I did for a single design was eight; for that crab tank that turned out to have a mad coke habit.
so... Pink watermelon themed mech? I figured this one would be armed with retractable whips inside its arms, but I didn't draw them in.
Cyborg with some conch-like power fists. Power-conchs I guess :D
A very… abrupt.. design.

Triple-Hat Wizard Mech :D A creation of the Millinery Industrial Complex.
Sometimes my attempts to iterate on a design result only in lateral movement to a place which is perhaps dumber, and therefore... cooler? But, on the plus side, it has the correct number of limbs, and in the right places too :D
Rally-bot Repost. From an illustration POV, I'm still loving the ball-feet, from a mechanical POV I am eternally tormented by them; there's simply no way for them to work -and- retain their ballsy profile.
As a pure sphere shape, the hubs catch on the ground after a very little amount of lean and if the legs tilt but the wheels stay upright, they wouldn't grip well whilst cornering (I presume). With a narrower wheel the problem is overcome, but the aesthetic is lost completely.
With a dumpy wheel the shape -almost- looks OK, but the hub clearance problem returns to a lesser degree and the aesthetic is still somewhat compromised. I think I always go on about ball feet whenever I post one of these. Here's some slightly plausible wheels hastily blocked out in blender.
Not a spaceship per se, but an airship and a recolour of one from september. The original colour-scheme was a little reserved so, naturally, I prefer this. I always envision most things I draw coming from the same universe, where looking flash and being loud as hell is very important; Nobody's put any effort into stealth-tech but armour is top-notch. Ear-protection is also very well researched.
More hover-flares.
I think it's safe to assume that, if I've put obnoxious flares on a a mech, then it hover dashes around like a dom… just one with the particular fashion sense of someone who was young when Jefferson were still Airplane.

Throwback, as usual; recoloured, this time with a hint of 808 to keep things interesting.
Throwback, this time in the colours of a tennis ball.
Not sure if the sword being so short is good or bad.

I've been uploading time lapses to Youtube. I realise, reviewing the playlist, that I should write some more music to go with them cause I've been reusing my old tracks way too much :D And I've been meaning to do more with my channel but, at the moment, I just don't have the time to do too much.
The original shiptember colur-scheme for this one was a little plain. This one pops more and the decal compliments the biomechanical nature of the aircraft.
Planet Express Fist.
… is the the only pun I could come up with that wasn't wildly inappropriate :D
And yes; it is a gigantic, rocket-powered fist on the rotor-disc torso from a little while back.
All it needs is some leg warmers, a tactical snood, and some better dentation and it will become a perfect creature.

:D ahaha, the head's totally too large but it amuses me, so it will continue to exist until I come back and fix this later with a new illustration.
(based on my usual follow-up, that will be somewhere between five years and never).
It's based on [the one at the bottom of the post], a sketch I did a little while back (this year). I prefer this one, especially the tanky body juxtaposed with the pointy feet.
I've not done a finished version of this one as I've been working on it (unsuccessfully) for a different idea.
Removing your head and neck, and then replacing them with a gigantic armoured radome, will free you of those pesky critical hits.
Not sure why I put a clavicle mounted sensor array in there given that my mechs, by-and-large, never seem to have eyes.
Just playing around with fun ideas at the moment, I guess.
