1. We would miss you. 2. It’s not worth the regret. Either by yourself if you failed or just simply left scars, or the regret everyone else feels by not doing enough to help you. 3. many of you don’t know this because at the time, i only privately shared the news with my friends & family members…

but back in the summer of 2011, Tami Roman helped me pitch an original LGBT series idea to various television networks & production companies. out of all of the “allies” who claim to support our damn community so much, she was one of the only individuals i had reached out to who actually used her network & connections to guide me through the process of soliciting my idea & treatment to various industry players.

she & i have not communicated since the fall of 2011, but i was reminded of our tiny moment in time while watching her UNCENSORED episode that premiered on tvONE this past Sunday night.

i watched the episode again while i was getting ready this morning.

Tami reveals some very traumatic situations & circumstances that have had a long lasting affect on her adult life. like, many of the stories she so candidly shares about her childhood, teenage years & young adult years makes the lives of my family service clients look like fairytales. lol!

i really wish BASKETBALL WIVES had done a better job of placing some of Tami’s background prior to the Kenny Anderson relationship on front street. maybe it would have served to give balance to the character that was always portrayed on screen. some people “don’t like” Tami because of her very abrasive & somewhat aggressive nature, but those are actually the qualities that have made me love her since Real World’s second season.
