I've always wondered how people are able to write linear fanfics. My brain is just always jumping from point to point. I develop stories like over time so there are always plot points to be addressed. The one im currently fiddling with has like four distinct periods like which one do I actually write about. The earliest section is good but boring without the later sections but its over 7 years so nobody's writing all of that but the later parts make little sense without the set up of the earlier parts. And the earlier parts are cuter and softer but like they're teens so I cant really do the smut. Also its erenhisu and historia does not get with ymir until those 7 years have passed and im not in the business of writing erenhisu like that. Also so much of eren's behavior does not make sense without the third section but their relationship wont make sense without the second section. Also I got other characters to develop like mikasa and her low racial self esteem and whatever incel mindset armin has that he just burdens Annie with like its too much
