the week summed up and i haven’t even taken my chem exam yet omg
so… i was finally able to afford the chem textbook as a DIGITAL rental bc my professor stopped uploading the questions from there…
it’s like almost midnight but why… just… why do i have to wait until the next day for the order to be “ready”?? ALSO WHY AM I PAYING THE “DIGITAL DELIVERY FEE” OF $5.99 JUST TO WAIT FOR OPERATIONS TO RUN UNDER BUSINESS HOURS???? WHY AM I PAYING FOR AN EMAIL???

So, so tired. That seems to be my motto recently. I'm taking a day off studying tomorrow just to recuperate with the busy weekend. Should I? Possibly not. But I will. The personal statement will genuinely do me in. Is it dumb to submit a classics based statement with one of my options being compsci going only off the fact I have compsci extracurriculars? Possibly.

Long day in the lab. I spent the whole time there making solutions which isn't very exciting, but in the end I feel satisfied with my work today :)
The results we obtained for my BSc thesis were interesting enough that my thesis supervisor wants to publish them. I've known for a couple of months now but haven't told anyone except my parents, because it felt too unreal, pretty much impossible. But now that I'm doing research for the paper and not for a thesis, I think I'm ready to share it here. Especially since today my supervisor happily told me to start thinking about writing the intro. (I squeaked "ME?!" to which he started laughing and said, "Who else? Me?" while I stood there completely speechless and probably with a very stupid look on my face.) I always think of myself as "just" a student, I do what I'm told, I don't dwell on where it's all going. My professor is the real scientist here. I just help (hopefully more often than I get in the way). But crazily enough, he wants me to be a co-author, to do some of the writing too...! How do I even begin to process this?

i woke up early with a crick in my neck so i was a few minutes late to class uggghhhhhh
to kinda make up for it i stayed a little longer on campus after the lecture to get some studying done but i forgot my lunch so I ended up coming back home pretty soon bc i was so hungry (so much for meal prepping lmao) (but the chole was a life saver ngl)

today I got around to a lot of simple resets to help set myself up for a successful week! 𖥔 baked rye bread with chopped almonds, and pumpkin seeds which paired so well with the blueberry goat cheese and brie! ˚✧₊⁎ 𖥔 also baked a loaf of chocolate bread (more like a thicc bready cookie) ! it was… so sweet… but also a perfect cozy evening dessert with some hot coffee before studying <3 ˚✧₊⁎ 𖥔 meal prepped chole packed with veggies and chawal cooked with haldhi for my lunches ˚✧₊⁎ 𖥔 cleared my desk space and tidied it up a tiny bit to get some flashcards done since i have a chem exam in 10 days! 𖥔 did a face and hair mask while enjoying some pokemon sapphire ˚✧₊⁎
overall i'm really pleased with how well rounded this day felt. i'm also really looking forward to cooking more at home in the future, it just brings me so much joy :)
the chole chawal and bread will def last me until the end of the school week. it'll also be nice to bring lunch to college so i can linger around campus more and feel more fueled to for longer study sessions!!
((definitely need to make better loaves somehow but practice makes better))

Something about studying with the sunrise is really magical. Got up at 3 to go to St Andrews and ended up burning an hour outside the student union freezing my fingers off. Gosh, at least the debate comp went well. Second best speaker! Though yes, I am a wee bit jealous I lost out to someone younger than I, it's just fodder to try harder.
