okay i told myself that i wouldn’t get too emotional over the events that have unfolded in these past few days in ncity but i also told myself i wouldn’t come back here yet here we are 😅
don’t get me wrong, i am very excited to see what mark and ten do after sm (and especially as a ten ult i have been waiting so long for this announcement) but now that both of their contracts are decided it’s finally settling in. this truly feels like the end of an era for nct. it’s very bittersweet.
i’m relieved about the fact that mark chose himself and gets to finally do all the things he’s held himself back from for all these years, but such a core part of the group will be missing from this point on. and as much as i trust ten’s word about still being a part of wayv and nct as a whole, i can’t help but be worried this is the start of his soft exit from the group (not to mention the position wayv is already in as an underpromoted and mismanaged unit).
they’ve been doing this for almost 10 years now. i’ve witnessed 5 of those years. i am so happy that i discovered nct during this time but i can’t lie, it definitely makes me sad to see the changes the group is about to endure even if they are for the better.
the last time i left felt abrupt and incomplete. this feels much more right. as the sm doors close for ten and mark i think it’s time for me to properly close the door on jae10velies.
thank you again for having one last hurrah with me. as i said before i had lots of fun during my time here, and i truly cherish all the connections i have made on this blog. i hope in every universe we are able to meet as fans of this amazing group because there is truly nothing like it.
