First steps in getting over someone you loved: 1. Write. Write it all down. Write in all caps if you have to. Track your progress. One day you will look back and be so proud of how far you’ve come 2. Feel. Don’t be afraid to cry, to scream, to cry more. Bottling up your emotions will only make them stay longer. Let it all out 3. Listen to music. It will save you. Make playlists for every emotion you are feeling and scream the words on your way to work 4. Don’t shut yourself out. Lean on the people who care for you. Call your mom. Drive to your best friends house. Talk to people 5. Listen. Sometimes being involved in other people’s problems make you realize that you are not the only one who has felt this way (although I know it feels like the end of the world, trust me) 6. Reflect. Think about all the times they hurt you, all the times they made you cry. You don’t deserve that. The right person will make flowers grow out of every part of you and never make you sad 7. Do something for you. Start taking yoga classes. Paint a picture. Apply for that job you really wanted. Now is the time to put all your efforts into making you your best self
