AHHH IT'S FINALLY DONE!

I don't do illustrations very often, I moreso do sketches/storyboards/animatics, but I lock in super hard one or twice a year on a finished piece. Leave it to Deltarune to bring the wave of inspiration necessary~

The way colors of the Cliffs changed was so cool so see when playing Chaper 5, and once I realized it corresponded to all the flowers, I knew what I had to do.

I had to make up the color palette for the pink section of the sky, but it was absolutely worth it for our wonderful honorary flower.

It's gonna be a sad day when Peaktarune is over...

This interaction happens in chapter 4 when you have tea with Gerson and it ONLY happens in the weird route

Damn you tricky Tony, this is like my new favorite moment with Gerson and it got me really close to crying and the only way you can access it is by torturing multiple teenagers

The same thing happened in chapter 2, the thing that truly endeared me to berdly was how serious he took things in the weird route

I make comics! Did you know that? I do, I do. My main series is called "Playground!", about a group of 4th graders trying way, way too hard to grow up. Cooper is especially brainrotted

This has been a very well documented phenomena in the Zelda sphere, where one title becomes the punching bag for a while. It used to be majora’s mask, then wind Waker, then skyward sword, and now it’s botw and totk, ESPECIALLY totk

Somewhat embarrassingly, Tears IS my favorite Zelda game. It’s not the definitive Zelda game, and it may be one of the most actively flawed, but I had so much fun with it.

And people will cry newgen, newgen, but I’ve BEEN playing Zelda.

In my opinion, EVERY 3D Zelda game I’ve played is genuinely peak. Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom are all 5 star games in my opinion.

Majora, Twilight, and even Skyward Sword all seem pretty great.

I think The Legend of Zelda is the video game series with the highest quantity of quality titles, and that’s why people shit all over even the most polished, high quality games, because literally EVERY game is so good

But the thing is, I agree with almost EVERY SINGLE critique of tears of the kingdom.

Does it lack a clear identity? Yes.

Is the story kind of a mess? Yes.

Are the Sky islands massively underutilized? Yes.

But it’s also some of the most fun I’ve had with a video game, EVER. It didn’t have the explosive impact that Wild did, but Tears captured the same magic for me personally.

It also has best master sword pull that I’ve seen BY FAR, that shit was genuinely majestic

It ALSO has the best final boss of any Zelda I’ve played so far

I love the feeling of the whole world coming together to rebuild, something that didn’t really happen in botw

The champions are better than the sages though. You can’t beat Urbosa. Also their abilities ARE straight up better

In some ways it’s so corny, in some ways there’s a lot of bullshit and repetitive content, and I REALLY hope we don’t come back to the wild era EVER…

But it’s so peak in my eyes🥹

No, but seriously, if the next 3D Zelda gets announced and it’s a very similar open world or god forbid breath of the wild THREE…

I WILL switch up on whatever medium I’m really into on a DIME. I’ve been meaning to play every 3D Zelda and every 3D Mario since 2021 and I STILL haven’t because I switched franchise of interest to Half-Life/Portal, then to Fallout, and then main hobby to drawing, and then main consumption medium to animated TV…

I watched the first season in 2020 but then stopped because I was scared it was gonna fall off because EVERYONE said that

now I got people telling me to watch it, and my brother put on the second half of season 2, of all things

I binged the first 4 seasons really really fast on my phone in October 2024, and I definitely liked it a lot, it was just too damn SLOW for me

Now I’m rewatching it with my sister, and I realized what I did wrong… this is a show for the tv.

TV show, I guess. Like, you canNOT watch it on a phone. I don’t know, I get antsy having to pay such close attention to something so slow paced, especially on the same screen I’m used to seeing friggin tung tung tung sahur on

I’m not even THAT cooked, but just being able to do something else just briefly while watching a tv show is a nice breath of fresh air

I think THAT’S why TV shows and I didn’t gel for a long time, you’re supposed to watch them ON A TV SCREEN.
