Stay close to anything that makes you glad that you’re alive.

At the end of the day, life is about making yourself happy and being able to say that you are proud of who you are. If you have a job that you hate and a boss who’s an asshole, then quit. If you can’t quit because you need to pay the bills, that’s cool too but don’t forget to give yourself time to just chill. If you’re not happy with your life, it doesn’t matter what other people think. If you’re not happy with yourself, it doesn’t matter that other people are. This is your life, nobody else’s. And I think people forget that.

We’re so different. We’re hot and cold, fire and water. I’m loud, you’re quiet. I talk, you listen. I’m crazy, you’re sane, but that’s why this works. You fill in my missing pieces and I complete you. I guess that’s why, despite the questions and challenges, I still believe in us and I still believe in this. And as long as we have each other, I think we’ll be alright.

It’s interesting when you start thinking about how many people have suddenly come into your life only to stay for a short period of time and then disappear completely, just as quickly as they entered.
