Ten year art challenge! The top is from 2010, the bottom from 2020. I used to draw all my characters without faces, mainly because they looked super wrong when I tried. It sort of became a motif though and I remember getting compliments on it, so I totally embraced it back then haha. I love seeing these side by side and appreciating how much I’ve learned. Though it’s safe to say I haven’t improved much on rocks... maybe I’ll get the hang of them in the next ten years lol

These are over a year old now- and I'm surprised that I kind of like some of them! I don't really enjoy drawing cats- I just can't seem to capture their essence and they end up looking more like mice to me 😂 The first image is my attempt at illustrating. I wasn’t super impressed so I tried some studies from reference and was even less impressed lol. I decided to do a deep dive with an anatomy study to learn more about how cats are built and did some quick gestures as well. I think it helped me a bit, but I still haven't drawn a single cat since then ahah :P
