Shivers

On the places she touched me

Murky

The pebble I threw

Washes cool waves of peace

Not beneath my wing, but beside

I lay awake in dark and sound.

I contemplate the peace I've grown

In childish memory. I pause;

To think you are a friend to me.

To think you are the best I've known.

Yet, I have an unhealthy imagination.

It was know to intertwine with reality.

I have been stopping short of the truth, but no more.

I have strenght; places new, given freely, and with love.

There is truth. There is love. There is thought where not before.

I picture words you've spoken. Pretty

White teeth which ignite thought and heart.

Your white hands slip in/out of sleeves

As blue as your pure emotion.

And what feeling when we're apart.

So tonight, as in many such nights in the past,

While I lay beneath blue simple sheets; my ear full

To the brim of loud doors and gruff voice. I imagine

Your soft tongue your white wisper your purr and your word.

The vacuum of the world

A small percent can breath

The simple; trampled; lost

Mock the true who believe.

Keep your tongues from clicking.

Keep your lazy eyes from closing.

Don't stand so sure of your own growth

For there are those who think like you and yet are still growing.

So in your coming and in your going

In your simple wander for pleasure

Know that some aren't afraid. Like the fool

A white birch; along a lane

Along the slender trunk, a vine of

For you; that it would be alright
