Ed moved down the Narrows quickly, avoiding everyone with his eyes down and his hands in his pockets. He was a mess. His eyes were sunken in and bloodshot from drug abuse and lack of sleep. He had no interest in talking anyone. He didn’t even want to see them, but if he wanted his drugs he had to go out into the light. Ed had stopped for just a moment to open the bag of pills in his hand when he heard his name. Jesus. What the hell did they want from him? “I don’t have any--”
