Is there a reason for you to be so noisy that you had to wake me up even though pain killers actually worked on me?

I'm sorry.. I-I tripped on the cords. There are a lot of cords in here. And then that thing with the screen fell down and... yeah, I'm sorry. But um, I thought I might come see you, y'know. Make sure you're doing okay.

Well... no. He's a character from a horror game. He doesn't even have a face.

Everything had been ridiculously uncalled for, in Jack's opinion. One minute he was happily enjoying himself, messing around in his costume, scaring the shit out of people. The next moment, sirens could be heard everywhere and quite frankly, that was about as unpleasant as he'd ever felt. Sure, sirens happened all the time, but not this many on such a high velocity level. All he could remember thinking was about everyone that he'd ever cared about being hurt. And this meeting? Hardly where he wanted to be. In fact, he wanted to be curled up drinking hot cocoa and forgetting that he was obligated to work for a criminal organization. Typically, he would provide the comic relief in this situation, but at a time like this when he knew that people he wanted to protect were actually damaged, he could only utter a few simple words: "I'm here, Boss. Just tell me the plan and I'll deliver."

The minute Sally heard the voice singing, the most beaming smile crossed her features as she was spun around and wrapped into a warm hug. Only too happy to hug him back in return, the ginger laughed softly, very excited to see Jack. “Bravo! I couldn’t have ended that more perfectly myself if I tried. Thank you!” Smiling brightly, she looked up at him. “And thank you so much for the gifts! I loved all of it! And no I’m not saying it because I drank the Vodka, promise. I loved everything about it all! And you are a life-saver because I was actually running low on sewing supplies. You’re amazing, Jack, thank you.”

His arms fell so that they were tightly wrapped around her waist, his smile never falling, only growing wider. "Pfft, I'm totally a mind-reader. A mind reader who planned a super awesome birthday surprise for you in which you're going to have to follow me to the haunted mansion before we're scheduled for our grand opening. It'll be so worth it, I promise."

Sally took some time to simply walk around in her costume, her eyes opened wide in excitement at how perfect all the Halloween decorations around her were as she softly sang The Happy Birthday song to herself, since she only now realized that it was her own birthday.

Jack snuck up behind Sally, placing his hands over her eyes and coolly finishing the song in her ear. "Happy birthday dear Sallyyyyyyy..." And then he spun her around, wrapping her in a warm embrace. "Happy birthday to you." He finished with a smile, happy that they were surrounded by a plethora of Halloween decorations.

"You’re like a puppy. I think one of the newly moved in couples opened it up a few days ago, the Grand Opening sign is still hanging. I stopped by the other day, brought a very cute set of tea cups that looked like the different characters from Doctor Who." She linked her arms through his and pulled him down the street. "I’m sure they’ll still be open and have some idea where to get your specialized spiders."

"Oh, Clarissa!" Jack exclaimed, wrapping his arms around her tightly. "There's a reason you're my favorite. This is that reason. If you were bigger I would demand you take me there by piggy-back, but I sense that I'm going to need you to come on a mission with me rather soon and you will need all of your bones intact. So, to the mysterious Halloween oasis!" He said theatrically, pointing in the first direction that his hand traveled to, completely unsure whether it was the correct direction. He then felt himself being pulled in a completely different direction. "Right, right. I knew that."

"Don’t be silly!" Rebecca chided.  "Of course I’m not suggesting you skip Halloween!  You are…”  She waved her hands in the air as she tried to put her thought into words.  ”You are, like made for Halloween!  It would be an horrible idea for you to skip Halloween.  No, what I mean is change ideas!  Do something without spiders this year and then try and find someone or hire someone or  something who can make them over the next year and have them back in your plans for the next Halloween.”

"I... I am so taken aback by your genius words. Usually I can see right past the point of things, but never on this large of a scale. I'm just so flustered. You know when you have a really specific vision and nothing plays out right when it all comes down to it?" He rambled, punctuating his sentence with a pout. "If I were a patient person this plan would work out flawlessly, but I'm not. I need those spider for this year. Luckily some sources have pointed me in the right direction. I think, we'll see.."

Flynn quirked an eye-brow at the number that was just given to him debating whether he should laugh about the situation or contain a some what serious face. Choosing the latter he simply looks at the man. “So, allow me to get this straight. You need thirteen-hundred animatronic spiders? For what?! Sorry my man, but no can do on my part. I’ve got nada, except for maybe the internet. Though I’d love thirteen-hundred bucks, and then some more so I can swim in all of it, but alas don’t have that either.”

Yet another person who didn't understand the magic and importance of Halloween. It was a shame, the citizens seemed to have lost their luster for things like this, but Jack would accept it as his duty to restore all of the precious beliefs that he had. "For a very top secret, absolutely confidential Halloween project." He replied, nodding his head. "Thirteen hundred bucks? Why would you want that many deer heads? I hope you're not offended by the fact that I find that a bit odd but--oh my GOD you meant money! I feel very ashamed right now."

"Annie usually helps with all of this Halloween madness, but I guess you will do." She picked up a random mask and put it on, turning her head to examine each angle.

"I much prefer this one, but really who am I to judge?"

I expect high of you, Boney, I hope you do not let me down. Specially when Halloween is just around the corner. Oh, of course she is helping you. How could she even resist helping her dearest friend create such aberrant and deadly weapons you so call costumes. No my dear, I don’t. I am only asking how is she.

I never disappoint, Sweetheart. Well you know, she is quite generous, but I do sometimes bribe her with gas money. Don't worry though, I'm sure she could fashion you an outright terrifying broom. Or mop. Or bleach. Costumes need to be practically designed as well as aesthetically pleasing. She's good, great, fabulous even! I think she is, anyway. She hasn't said otherwise.

"I know you would never, Jack, just like I know that you are the absolute best at what you do. I didn’t really mean it literally, promise. I just, you know, always worry anyways… but I know you aren’t going to go and cut your head off." She smiles. "But you have to admit, a headless Jack would look pretty cool. If you could still speak and all as well as breathe and be considered alive. I think it’d be one sight to see. The Skeleton King without a head, no?"  

"Okay, Mom. I forgive you. This time." He began a slow cackle, grinning with his teeth as he leaned closer in to Sally. "Oh I'll drink to that. I've thought about it countless times. I think that's how I'd like to go. And then, instead of burying me in a casket, you can arrange my skeleton in Hamlet fashion. That would be so metal." Jack laughed, picturing the display in his head as a joke, but liking the looks of it and actually seriously considering this funeral arrangement. "Do you think the morgue would actually do that?"

If it’d been anyone else Elsa would’ve thought what Jack was trying to achieve was very out there and a bit silly, but she knew Halloween was an important time to him and found his creativity when it came to the holiday amusing. That and she did like to hear about what he was coming up with next. “I think you made a good choice with that one.” She chuckled. “Your headstone will have something badass written on it instead of the standard R.I.P. and your grave will be a little patch of Halloween all year round,” Elsa stated assuredly with a smile. “Skeletons and carved pumpkins all the time. She looked down at him, raising her brow though didn’t move away just yet. “I think Sally was saying she’s an expert carver too now that you mention pumpkin carving. Any place decorated with pumpkins carved by the Jack Moire is sure to be the target of envy.”

Pretending to wipe a tear from his eye, Jack smirked at his companion, knowing that she was in fact the right choice for his funeral planner. "I want my tomb stone to say something totally random. Like, carrots, or something. That way people spend more time looking at it and wonder why it says carrots. Y'know, they'll want to know about me." He smiled, pulling away his arm at her perked brow. "You're too sweet, Elle. But you aren't wrong. You should really think about coming to the party with myself and Miss Sally. We could set you up with a real nice costume. Something super badass, like... like.... Oh, that's weird. Can't think of anything more badass than you."

Um, um, well, I-I mean there’s a lot that-that happens on Halloween. That-that … bad stuff, y-you know?

Oh don't be silly! Halloween is beyond safe, especially if you know who to party with. I, for one, would be an excellent companion for the evening. Does that sway your opinion, perhaps?

And how is that going so far. I assume you are going to have such and extraordinary plan for it, it will be remembered for ages, am I right? Considering I haven’t seen her around lately, and you are usually glued to her, I thought asking was appropriate. 

Well yes, but I'm not giving away any surprises. That would take away all the fun. Glued to her? I wouldn't say that. We chill quite often, as the kids are saying. She's making my costume, actually, the sweetheart that she is. Do you need her for something, Alley-Cat?

I’m p-p-pretty sure that I’ll be w-working on Halloween. S-so count me o-out of any p-p-parties.
