“Because they are scared of him. This guy blackmailed and twisted the pack apart. And he’s working with these Doctor guys who are just as scary from what I hear.”

Lydia could only admire his determination at times as she looked him up and down with a slightly smile. If the banshee had any opportunity, with no consequences afterwards then she would probably run for the hills, taking all of her friends along with her so they were all safe, just so they could live a normal life. But with Jackson, he didn’t care. About the danger about what happeend around them, he obviously came back for a reason and the strawberry blonde hoped it was at least something to do with her being here, the danger she was in. She wished. “You did?” she then replied at his comment about his father, she had only heard briefly about the werewolves adoption when they were dating, him never wanting to talk about it, but his real father; this was new. “Who is he?”

Jackson wasn’t a very delicate person, neither he was thoughtful. Even if he was there was not a delicate way to announce the news. Probably no one was going to be as surprised as he was when he found out. After all, it seemed like craving for power was running in the family gene. “His name is Peter.” He whispered, trying not to show the shame hidden behind his words. For the first time in his life Jackson felt shame and that feeling was new to him. He was so proud of everything he was and everything that he had. Now it was different. The boy took a deep breath before he opened his mouth again. “ Peter Hale.”

Trying topretend that she wasn’t there wasn’t an option when her eyes were piercing his.He hated this. Since they killed the kanima , Jackson is nothing and he was thesame as before. Ordinary and weak. No matter how much he trains , he couldn’tget as good as McCall. He wasn’t a captain anymore. Now he was trying his bestto be the best again , but his body was just giving up on him. Since theykilled the kanima he was weak and he was getting weaker. His muscles couldn’tstand the pressure anymore. He has been in the hospital too many times for thepast two months, but he told no one about it. His parents were giving his bestto help him, but Jackson understood that their money can’t buy everything thehard way. But no one should now about it therefore he puts a fake smile on hisface. Like he always does.“ I’m fine. It’s nothing. It’s just a scratch.”

In fact , it was even scaring him sometimes.“ Allison ?” his voice a whisper, his eyes focused on the girl who was nowquietly sleeping on his shoulder. It seemed like she wasn’t going to wake upanytime soon and it made his whole body shiver. It’s not that he doesn’t likeAllison. It’s not like he hates her , but now no one was looking therefore hismask is gone and he is afraid. But he stays silent , maybe she really neededsleep. 

“I am being useful.” She pulled him to his feet letting him lean on her. She wasn’t that strong, but she would try. “Come on. We can hide in that room over there.”

“ Lydia I will be healed in a minute and I can walk by myself.” he whispered as he took one step back. “ You can hide. It’s a good decision. But me ? I have a different plan.”

”I have no idea who you are and that’s a really poor conversation starter. I pulled you over because you have a broken tail light.”

”But since we are getting acquainted, do tell me your name.”

A low growl came out of his lips as his glare pierced the other’s eyes. “ I thought your job include less talking.” his eyes now focusing on the badge with his name. So that was the guy with who Danny saw her Lydia twice. Interesting. “ Jackson. Jackson Whitttemore.”

“You do know I’m trying to track him down?”

“I am sorry Allison , but it doesn’t look like anyone is trying to do something.”

“What if he’s not?” Stiles spoke slowly, the realization setting in that maybe it wasn’t Theo running the show. The boy was a chimera, he had been made. “What if the Doctors are controlling him somehow?” he proposed, but it didn’t make him any less furious towards the bastard. The Doctors had shown little interest in any of them but Kira, _Theo_had mauled his father half to death, Theo had almost killed Scott… “No, he didn’t believe me.” The boy replied. “Kill or be killed, Jackson.” Stiles growled, but softened slightly, the stony act not one he could keep going for long. “It wasn’t even intentional, it was an accident. But he was gonna eat me, he was gonna kill my Dad after. I wasn’t going to let him do that…” He explained, a little surprised by Jackson’s apparent concern for him. “I _killed _someone, Jackson. Scott didn’t do anything wrong, I did.”

A slight confusion suddenly written on the wolf’s features, was Stiles going out of his mind? Theo was like a book which was quite confusing at the start, but then once you turn a few pages, everything was clear. The other suggestion made sense, but then again there was a part missing. “Then why would the Doctors want your pack, Stilinski ? It seemed like he wanted McCall’s pack.” Jackson shrugged, he wished that Stiles didn’t made that suggestion. Jackson placed himself in Stiles’s situation. If Danny didn’t trust him because of the newbie, he would have been devastated. But unlike Stiles , he would have made Danny regret that late . “He didn’t ?”Jackson asked slightly raising his voice. “You know Scott is not wrong because he did something, but because he actually didn’t nothing. And here you are still defending him. I am not sure if you are mentally disabled Stilinski or you just do this ,  because you care about McCall so much that you will sacrifice yourself. It’s like you two are a thing , you know ? Because I wouldn’t even have defend  Lydia so much if she betrayted me.” because Jackson is alone , he always was,therefore he was the one to protect himself.

“Alright. That’s fine.” She said.

“ I don’t want to talk about the pack , okay ? You can tell me what’s happeniing with you. After all I’ve been gone for long.”

Of course he would just cope out, make an excuse as to why he said the things he did. But really Lydia didn’t think she knew him anymore and he certainly didn’t know her. Jackson had been gone by the time Lydia decided to embrace what she was and help the pack. “Oh and who do you think would be the best Alpha? You?” She asked sarcasm clear in her tone. She would always defend Scott. “I don’t think you have the right to say what kind of Alpha he is, since you haven’t been here and you certainly don’t know him.”

“ I’ve never been an Alpha , Lydia.” he said with clear jealously in his voice but then again he remembered that he had to prove he became somebody else. A better one. “ Not me. But I believe that the Alpha should kill to protect his pack and it doesn’t seem like McCall is very good at protecting.” the boy let out a low sigh as he shook his head. “ I once knew him. He is too good. Too good to protect this pack.”

Looking fiercely at Jackson, Amber snapped. “Any other instructions, asshole?” With a raised brow, the impulsive wolf felt her golden orbs glowing.

“ I am sure there will be. As I can see you need them badly.” the werewolf snapped as he slowly stood up.

“Excuse me?”

“ Are you deaf ? You are speaking nonsense.”
