F1 2025 Points Theory (Mid-Season report)
Better late then never and as I sit here sipping my coffee waiting for the Belgium GP to get started, I figured it would be a good time to sit down and provide the update on the two points theories that I like tracking. For those that were not with us last year, there are two reports I like doing for points tracking. 1: Points to 12th as outlined by the FIA in 2024, and 2: Points to 20th (20pts for 1st and 1 pt for 20th) {I also kept Fastest Laps points in for 2025}
So with that its been a crazy season in F1, yeah sure it feels like the McLarens are running away with it; but we have had multiple teams, drivers, and rookies within the points (even in the normal scoring) versus 2024. The field has become so tight as we reach the end of these regulations that you can never tell who is actually going to land where at the end of it all. Its been a fun season to watch with things like NICO and ANTONELLI PODIUM never would have happened in 2024, but there has also been some crazy like Lawson and Doohan.
Winners for 2025: Rookies (ALL OF THEM ARE DOING WELL) McLaren (Finally figured out how to fight as individuals and team) Sauber (Solved almost all of their issues)
Opportunities for 2025: Aston Martin / Williams / Alpine (fallen off HARD) Ferrari and RedBull (To focused on their poster drivers) F1 TV Media director (Way to much focus on Max or lead car)
Never should have happened: Doohan and Lawson (If swapped should have been this weekend) Alpine TPs (Briatore should not have the reigns)
Anyways, thats enough rambling about the season as a whole; first up is Points to 12th results thru Silverstone GP.
Hadjar +1 / Ocon -1, Stroll -4 / Alonso +2 other then that pretty similar to regular
