“I didn’t give it to you, just told put in a good word to the boss. I’ve been really good, surprisingly. What about you?”

Pursing his lips he met her eyes “It’s an important project. And I’m ready for it” he whispered

“You better be.” Izzy warned with a hint of soft emotion in her eyes. Gideon had to be safe because if he wasn’t Alecto wasn’t, Aug wasn’t.

That’s interesting. William, you are to kind.

Oh I will. *He shrugs* What, I’m not allowed to be proud of you? Even if I wasn’t your big brother I’d be proud of this. It’s great, and you deserve to have your stuff out there.

No, you aren’t. *punches his arm lightly* Well now it is. 

"Fine. Since you’re my favorite person, you can have one."

“Yes! Win! So, Remus, how have you been?” *picks up one of his fries*

“Then it must be nice to get a positive one.” Otto smiled. “I wouldn’t lie to you, it really is good. Are you mostly writing poetry? And are you looking to get some more published?”

Emptying his wine glass he shook his head. “I took a project in Italy. Renovation of two villas and one mansion” he mumbled, stuffing a piece of stake in his mouth, waiting for the inevitable comment.

Even if you had several brothers I’d still be the favorite. *He takes it and reads it over, furrowing his eyebrows at the content since he knows exactly what it’s about* Iz…this is great. *He looks up again and gives her a smile* I’m really proud of you.

“Since I was your favorite person.” *bats her eyes and pouts*

*Jumps up and laughs, shoving the article into his chest* 

Rubbing his face he sighs. “drop it” he groaned and winced inwardly. At her silence he looked up “There’s no way out of this, right?”

“Right.” Izzy said with a smile on her lips and leaning forward on her elbows. Her hand cupped her chin as she soaked in the win. 

Just promise me that when you become famous and sell millions of books worldwide you don’t forget your favorite brother.

My only brother and, I don’t think that will be anytime soon.

Otto took the magazine and read. “Wow. This is great. Pretty powerful, and it grabs you from the start.”

“Thanks, it uh, means a lot. I’ve never gotten many critiques before.”
