Having type 1 diabetes with an insulin pump is like playing with a Tamagochi but you're the pet



as a diabetic nothing is as humiliating as being in a social setting, and everyone is having a good time, and then your CGM alert goes off INSANELY loud like a gong going off in church. it feels like a medieval shame bell fr. and i’m like, okay thanks for not letting me die, dexcom, but do you have to be so fucking dramatic about it?? honestly i’d rather just quietly have a hypoglycemic episode thanks

In middle school kids laughed at my Dexcom alarm going off once I almost cried, and from that day onward all of my alarms are set to silent if possible but for Dexcom I have it so it's like if I am super super low and super super high, it goes off But why does it have to be so dramatic? It's like a Siren 😭

yeah, diabetes sucks sometimes, but every once in a while I see someone in public with a dexcom or pump, and I point to my own, and despite being total strangers we have this mutual shared understanding that no one else gets, and it feels like a secret club that we’re in that no one else gets to be a part of

And yet we have to pay for it he would be extremely disappointed 

We can’t rage bolus our way out of this one, boys.

Its fails all the time and gives inaccurate readings :(((((( at least for me and some other people I have talk to

No, it will tell me like I am deathly low when I am actually like 200 idk it pisses me off

yes us diabetics must stick together!! I have also actually never heard of refillable insulin pens so i learned something new today! Btw this post reminded me to check my blood sugar before i go to bed so thank you lol
