Well I’d say I liked ALL OF IT!!!! You’re telling my fav twd character gets an ENTIRE NOVEL about who he was before he became the Governor!!

I do have a few!! I’ll make a lil list of them

- Mama Rose made an effort to teach both Brian and Philip Spanish when they were younger but it never really stuck. Brian knows a little but Philip is completely hopeless.

- Nick is gay but he suppresses it cause.. ya know he’s a Christian. He just tells himself he “struggles with same sex attraction” lmao

- Brian knows a lots about music but when it comes to actually knowing how to play he’s no good. He knows surface level knowledge about most instruments and can read simple compositions but that’s it. He’s more of a listener… but he listens really well. He can pinpoint each separate instrument/layer in a song and focus on it separately, truly appreciating music as an art form. He’s got autism.

- When the brothers were growing up Brian would always be singing some song he had in his head and it would annoy the shit out of Philip. Sometimes it led to them getting into a little scuffle… and Philip would beat his ass </3

- Philip lets his arm hang out the window when he’s driving cause that’s sexy as fuck

- Brian thinks his little goatee makes him look so cool (it’s okay Brian I think it does)

I wish we got more details, I need to know every single thing about Brian’s love life lmaoo.

What we know from Brian’s perspective, Jocelyn was super unstable and abusive. I can imagine Brian being overly apologetic even for things that weren’t his fault.

Brian coming home to see all his stuff being thrown outside and he’s just thinking “damn :/“

I really wonder what “hurtful things” she said to him, must’ve been really bad for Brian to still be thinking about them. Poor guy :(

Brian seems to be drawn to these kind of dynamics where he lets people walk all over him. Maybe a trauma response? I imagine him being quite scared of his father while growing up, especially witnessing the beating he put Philip through. Although he is quite fond of Bob, who reminds him of Ed so who knows.

And just for fun I like to think they had a pretty noticeable height difference. Jocelyn being considerably taller than Brian would be funny as hell.

Also can’t help but imagine the terrible sex they probably had.
