I wrote to both of my US Senators today:

"With Articles of Impeachment filed against Donald Trump on Apr. 6, 2026, I am writing to ask you to please do everything within your power to bring Donald Trump to trial and to remove him from office. He has gone completely off the rails with his ego-mania, plus the number of times he has broken the law and ignored the United States Constitution is flabbergasting. Enough is enough. We need to take our country back.

I understand it will be a long shot with a Republican controlled Senate, but please fight the good fight. If bringing him to trial isn't possible right now, then hopefully we will get more Democratic seats in the senate after the mid-terms, and he can be brought to trial then.

TIL: Dinosaurs! Already knew about the feathers, but I'm still trying to wrap my head around "Birds are dinosaurs." (Not descended from them; ARE them.)

Also time as distance (1 Meter = 1000 years) we'd have to drive from Los Angeles (now) to the Mojave Desert to get to the dinosaurs. Watching him explain this in the video (starting at 16:01) really made the distance thing hit home for me. Just reading the numbers is still an abstract idea.

And, as a spin off from that, I got to wondering about the crater from the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs is. (Is there really a crater, or is that just another abstract idea, the asteroid hitting some random location that is no longer identifiable?)
