OKAY! So! You all remember when I posted those drawings of a Steven Universe OC Empire right? RIGHT? So I decided to redesign them since they've been on my mind lately. HERE THEY ARE! :D
As I think (?) I've stated in the old post, in this AU this would be like, a separate Gem empire or Gempire that would come to exist around 3k years after the Diamond Authority (So it'd be ~17,000 years old by canon's time, as opposed to the DA's 20,000). This Empire would more or less start exactly like the DA, but after "The Incident" ( ~750-900 years after starting) R.D (Red Diamond), The leader of this Empire gets a reality check and changes course immediately.
While they aren't a perfect Utopia by the time of Canon, they would be SIGNIFICANTLY better than the DA, while still having many issues.
During their 17k year old existence they would have brief intersections with the DA, like an abandoned ship , finding a planet the DA already used up, a few scrambled signals, but neither of the Empire's would even know of the other's existence.
As for Colonization and stuff, they started the same as the DA, but after "The Incident" basically discovered a more sustainable gem-plant way of gem production (Still have to figure this detail out).
Planets with life: Longer less efficient, but sustainable Gem Production, where they do their best to keep the majority of the planet intact.
Planets with no life / Asteroids : Mostly mined for resources.
OKAYYYY SO Diamonds! First, Here's a better look at them!
Red Diamond is the oldest, generally an ok person, how finds it difficult to express her emotions. She's basically Overseeing everything that happens. Has a soft spot for things that she kept from her Home planet (It's gone now :( )
Green Diamond is the second oldest, more or less a Yellow parallell, serious hard-working, rarely shows much emotion, but she cares a lot for her gems since she's the one who takes care of Production. She along with Red kinda are responsible for the "Incident" so they still feel guilty and do their best to atone for what they did. Is closest to Blue in terms of friendship.
Blue Diamond was made a bit before the "Incident" happened, but she never truly witnessed it. She's a very happy, fun and curious gem, while also being a COMPLETE Battle Maniac. She's the one in charge of finding new planets and asteroids to use. Very close to Green. Hosts a tournament every 5 centuries so that strong gems can fight her.
Black Diamond is the second youngest, being made at around year 9k of the Empire. An obsessed workaholic, with dry humour and a penchant to "prank" any gem that fucks something up massively. Was the one who proposed the creation of White, mostly because she wanted someone to share the workload with, but has since gotten close to her by canon.
White Diamond is the youngest. Made ~1k years after Black. She's basically the complete opposite of the DA's White. (At least the OG series, never finished Future and barely remember it). She's excitable and wants every gem to shine in their own way, which is why her main job is seeing which jobs fits a gem best. Like a soldier type works best in entertainment or construction, then BOOM! Job change. While closest to Black, she's surprisingly very close with Red.
They're more based on the digital RGB color model as opposed to the DA's CMYK / Light color model

idk how i'd implement them in a fanfiction or fancomic but i already have some gem ideas ill share later. Thanks for reading or whatevs. More splatoon coming soon btw, for those who like it.
