So this is one of my favorite pieces from the project 𝒥𝒾𝓇𝓈𝓉 𝒲𝒶𝓋𝑒𝓈 - it’s sort of a post-capitalism landscape. I did this project during a year I was really concerned about all the pollution being produced troughs some commercial art projects I had done for Ad Agencies. I tried to redeem myself from all the visual pollution by creating digital art works from the very last files of Advertisements that would be printed or broadcasted millions of times around the US for very large corporations. Qué ondaa. It’s been a while! but I have a good excuse to post. Many of you may know that I used to do digital art for several years. I would say mostly 2007-2015. Before digital scarcity hadn’t been figured out, not until recently with all the NFT and Crypto frenzy. So to just give you a hint. I’ll be dropping some NFTs soon. But I wanted to make some postings before so some of you can get acquainted with my previous computer based work and it would actually be good to post about these projects. When I was experimenting with visual treatments for my project ‘51 Miles’, among the studies I did where a lot of scans of objects found along the LA River. The reason why I got so in love with sculpture was Beverly Pepper. Sadly she just passed away yesterday at 97.
