Every parent has that one irrevocable moment when they realize their children are taking in the media played around them, from TV shows to music on the radio.

For me, that’s hearing my four-year-old sing and realizing she’s doing the chorus from “Dig Up Her Bones” from the Misfits.

So @homedepot literally just used footage of characters from Trick ‘r Treat on one of their light-up Halloween LEDs portraits.

It depends on what version of Frankenstein you use.

If it’s a public domain character, like Frankenstein, Dracula, or a werewolf, you can do it. You just have to make it different enough that it wouldn’t be mistaken for or identical to someone’s copyrighted version, like the Universal or Hammer one.

That’s how companies release a Mulan DVD the month Disney releases their movie.

The amazing thing isn’t how many monsters I recognize.
