https://www.instagram.com/hindsight_movie/ I was working on developing the Instagram page for the production of the “Hindsight” movie. Along with recording the sound on set I was taking pictures and arranging the feed. My main reference was the look of the film “Roma”. For developing this feed I used an app called “nomo” and installed a filter that would crop pictures to the scope and add a special color filter to it. It was a bit challenging due to the fact, that you can’t upload pictures, everything needs to be taken in the app itself.

The action is happening at the party, so my main inspiration was an underground Eastern European techno scene with a mix of folklore from Ukraine and Lebanon. I was recording and sampling my own vocals and pitching them down as well as sampling the Lebanese song.   the soundtrack album is available at all the streaming platforms

while working on my thesis I was making a list of the artists I am researching and here what I discovered. ALL OF THEM LOOK ALIKE :) Let me introduce you to: Andy Stott Nils Frahm Kanding Ray  Roman Kulichov (aka my dad)  I am still hoping he is a part of the German electronic music scene (he spent his school time in Berlin) and he is just pretending to like “Russian prison music” while secretly releasing albums on the cassettes of the East German independent music label.  

This project inspired me to focus on sampling and the balance of composing vs sound design in my future thesis.

on the 27th of November I released a new music video under my music moniker Grisly Faye. It was shot during the first semester of KinoEyes at the most western spot of Europe – Cabo Da Roca. It was a collaborative work between 2 generations of KinoEyes: idea/DOP Pavlo Lypa director Anastasiya Maksymchuk (KINO3) AC Danilo Miranda Cares (KINO4) AD Emeri Abel (KINO4) editor Sai Krishna Koppolu (KINO3)  color Julien Kai (KINO4) The song itself was recorded on the remote island on the river Dnipro.
