On my last day in #Michigan, my brother and his family took me to @vinsettagarage to eat. It’s locally famous and has delicious food! (at Vinsetta Garage)

My brother and I had an absolutely phenomenal meal in #detroit tonight. We went to Roast. I had an unproofed gin cocktail-literally blew my mind it was so smooth. We then had oysters and the beef cheek pierogi for appetizers. Next up was the NY Strip, medium rare, with a side of asparagus with poached egg and roasted Brussels sprouts. We finished it off with what’s called “The Bar” - house made ice cream, candy bar and marshmallow that was stewing in a whiskey caramel that was better than anything I’ve ever eaten. I’ve never had food done by an Iron Chef before, but my God, this makes you want to eat nowhere else. So delicious and a great way to end my visit to see my brother and his family. I struggled with #depression pretty hard after my mom died. I can put up a brace face, but six years after her car accident, I had some loving friends encourage me to go to #therapy. I did that until my big move to #texas in 2015. I wanted to be dedicated to my career, but still ensure my metal and emotional #health were in check. I am thankful that I came upon #celebraterecovery at @thebranchchurchtexas ❤️ I now feel free from my depression and while I still have #anxiety, I can cope with it and have loving people who keep me in check when I start to fall again. I had an amazing time at our yearly #retreat and I love being able to support and minister to people who were in my shoes 12 years ago. 🙏🏻❤️ (at Camp Hoblitzelle)
