Wish I Stayed Gone.

eleven  shook  her  head.  “you…  do  not  need  to  apologise.”  the  woman  assured,  even  going  so  far  as  to  offer  a  small  smile  towards  the  other.  “thank  you  for  the  offer.  really.  it  is  very  kind  but  i  do  not…  take  those  things  from  people  i  do  not  know.”  it  was  kind  of  him,  it  was.  el  just  couldn't  accept  it.  she  was  far  too  scared  of  what  the  tablets  may  do,  even  if  she  was  sure  he  meant  her  no  harm. 

"You know what, that is fair too." Nick agreed, giving the other a nod. "I wouldn't really take anything from strangers either. This city is a bit unsettling and it seems everything in the city changes for the worse." He hummed. "I'm all out of options."

" Well , mine is going to be all around now , so get used to it . " Jules grinned, for they loved what they did . It was something that defined them , and something that they did not ever wish to lose . When something so interesting was going on ? They did not think that they would be out of a job anytime soon . " Hockey . My brother plays it , so it was mostly about him and his friends before . "

"Well, I am here for it. I like to support all business ventures." Nick smiled, giving a nod. "Okay. I know a little bit about hockey. Not much, as rugby is like my huge thing, but I do know a little bit." He hummed. "You could do different sports, since there are like a shit ton of them in DC."

"Things are quite different than they were back then, aren't they?" Lottie had never realized how drastic the change must've been for Edwina. "But you've adjusted well?"

"So much! Some things haven't changed much, but I guess over the centuries, it takes people longer to age than the world around them." Edwina pointed out. "I think I have, yes. At least, as well as I could in a city like DC."

"It's a lot different for me too." Gyokuyou nodded in agreement. "I was a lady to the emperor where I'm from. His most favored High Consort. I lived in a palace, and now... I'm stuck here." She stuck her nose up, glancing around at her surroundings. "Where are you from?"

"I could understand the shock. I get it. I was very close to the Queen during my time as the Diamond of the season. She even wanted me to date her nephew, but we could never really click." Edwina admitted with a soft nod. "London, well, India, but I was in London before coming to DC. I'm also from the 18th century."

"I am working as a lawyer." Anthony admitted with a laugh. "And if I can admit, I am pretty good at it. My mother once commented I should argue with people for a living, and it appears I now do."

"You know, that seems to be quite fitting for you. I feel like you and my sister would be a great legal team. I feel like he would want to be a lawyer as well." Edwina smiled. "That's good. At least you found something to do in this city."

"A different..." Karadec trailed off, staring at him like he'd grown an extra head. He'd heard some interesting things during his time with the LAPD (many of them from suspects who would say just about anything to get out of an interview room), but that was a new one. "A different universe, right. Right. Sounds...perfectly plausible," he muttered. It absolutely did not. "How exactly do people end up here?"

"I know how insane it sounds, trust me. I'm still not one hundred percent sure I agree with it all but that's what I've been told." Buck admitted with a nod. "Now that part seems to be a mystery. Some people have told me magic, other's have said it's like a Doctor Who kind of thing."

Amelia could work with that information. "Have you tried to leave, go back to where you used to live?" She asked. She was starting to wonder these things for herself, if she wasn't from here either.

"I did try to get a flight back to LA once, and it was cancelled like an hour before I was supposed to get on the plane," Biuck replied. "I don't know, it's like there is something in the back of my brain telling me not to leave, it's weird."

"I want people to watch out. If he gets to this town, we're all fucked." Jake pointed out. "You think the monsters and shit coming to life is bad? No. That little fucker can kill you before you even realize what happened!"

"Shit, I guess you are right. I wouldn't really want someone telling me something life-changing and sounding like they don't care." Chishiya hummed. "Well, I guess it can't hurt for me to try it. I am very blunt. I've gotten in trouble so much growing up for it. I try to tone it down but it's hard."

Anthony had actually just acquired a phone, having been told by Hyacinth it was a necessity in this day and age. "I do have one, though I'm not quite sure how to work it." He admitted.

"I can show you." Derek assured the other, giving a soft smile. "Thankfully, learning the cellphone is not that hard. I've taught about four folks how to do so and they seem to have gotten it rather well."

Despite their ups and downs, the two of them had actually left each other on a good note in Mystic Falls. Bonnie couldn't help but smile at her friend when she saw him, "Hey, Damon." She replied. "How have you been?"

"Oh , you don't know how happy I am that you remember me." Damon admitted with a soft smile. "I'm good, you know, just trying to navigate this interesting city we've found ourselves in. What about you?"
