NEBULA XTV CLASS LUMINAR CRUISER
Star League of Planets — Multirole Cruiser
The Nebula XTV Class is the pride of the Luminar fleet — a multirole cruiser built to exacting standards that reflect the species' high intelligence, sophistication, and technological mastery. Every system is optimized. Every component serves a purpose. Nothing is wasted.
Where the Terran Erwing Class is built for quantity and ease of production, the Nebula is built for quality and precision. It is slightly longer than the Erwing, but infinitely more advanced.
Length 760 – 800 meters (slightly longer than Erwing's 720m)
Crew 400 Luminar + 100 support (highly automated)
Power SourceAdvanced fusion core array
Propulsion 8 main thrusters Sublight Speed Incredible (high acceleration, impossible turns, rapid direction changes)
FTL Capability Yes (Singularity Warp Engine, Luminar-calibrated)
The Nebula is equipped with eight main thrusters — giving it sublight speed that rivals ships half its size. The Luminar have mastered inertial dampening and thrust vectoring, allowing the Nebula to:
Accelerate faster than Terran or Lupventr cruisers
Execute impossible turns (sharp angles, rapid deceleration, mid-combat direction changes)
Change velocity vectors without warning
Tactical Implication: The Nebula can outmaneuver most cruisers. It chooses engagement ranges. It controls the tempo.
Multilayer Shield Screen Projector System
Multilayer particle screen (advanced Luminar design) CoverageMultiple overlapping arcs (not just directional)ControlAdvanced AI and computing power manage shield distribution in real-time. AdvantageCan protect from multiple angles simultaneously — unlike standard directional shields
Unlike the Feralon Nagashi's frontal-only shield or standard ship screens that cover one arc, the Nebula's multilayer system allows it to project shields in multiple directions at once. The AI constantly recalculates threat angles and allocates power accordingly.
Primary Armament — Heavy Particle Beams
Heavy Particle Beams 20 Nose (forward arc) Anti-capital ship. Facing the Nebula head-on is suicide.
Effect: Particle beams are accurate, long-range, and devastating against shields and armor. Twenty beams firing simultaneously can cripple or destroy most cruisers in a single volley.
Secondary Armament — Proton Torpedo Pods
Proton Torpedo Pods 40 (20 port, 20 starboard) Hull (broadside)Anti-capital ship / heavy ordnanceOptional SwapGuided Plasma Missile PodsSame locationsAlternative munition (plasma vs. proton)
Flexibility: The torpedo pods are modular. Mission commanders can choose between proton torpedoes (kinetic + energy penetration) or guided plasma missiles (thermal damage, tracking).
Defensive Armament — Laser Turrets
Laser Turrets 8 Distributed across hull (full 3D coverage)Anti-Ship, Anti-fighter, anti-missile, point defense.
Below main deck (ventral) Complement Fighters or drones (exact number unspecified)RoleDefensive support for the cruiser. Doctrine: Not a dedicated carrier. Fighters/drones assist point defense and screen against enemy strike craft. Formation Tactics If multiple Nebulas operate together, they can collectively act as a carrier division — sharing fighter/drone coverage across the formation.
Advanced Targeting AIManages particle beam accuracy, torpedo guidance, and laser turret tracking. Shield Management AI. Continuously recalculates threat angles and allocates shield power across the multilayer system.Damage Control AIMonitors ship systems and automatically reroutes power, seals breaches, and manages fire suppression.
