She can’t see him , not properly.
White blossoms trail up from her turtleneck’s collar and they obscure her mismatched eyes. Things are darker and unclear now , undefined and blurred. But Flurry can still hear the rattle of his breath and his shambling approach , she can sense his formidable presence looming over her— and it’s enough to make her small form tense. The child stops dead still in the middle of the path before him mere inches away; she stumbles backwards in the snow a bit to put enough space for comfort between them. ❛ Ahh…! ❜
A quick wheeze of shock passes her bruised lips; the little girl’s warm breath condenses into a fog against the icy air. Her hands twitch at her sides longing to lift defensively , Flurry wants nothing more than to flinch away and brace herself for this monster inevitably striking her. But she’s too big and too brave to be openly fearful. Instead she lifts her slender fingers , stiff as corpses from the cold , and pushes the bunched flora up as far as she dares. Oh…
Soft eyes squint in the face of such sudden light , before Flurry’s regarding the stranger with a wary look. @iudexism // ily
anubis is a FRAIL creature; yes, he was made to endure, but he is weak, and ALWAYS WILL BE in comparison to others. yet it’s with heightened sense & heated marrow he follows that scent, that strange scent that filters in between the tree line and draws at him.
he almost kills her. he’s certain he still will.
but this thing is covered in - in flowers, crystalline things that ravage her body, that cover this... child from head to toe. so a once gallop on four legs turns into a slow shuffle forward, claws scratching into the snow, brow furrowed, and sniffing. the monster is absolutely shamless as he presses nasal ridge to skin, and inhales, uncaring clawed hands brushing away any attempt to stop him. the human’s a WEAK THING, and it looks terrified, only poisoned.
