I like to think sanford has very selective emphaty like yea he cried over objects multiple times but has no problem torturing a living breathing person yea
hating racists is good ! but if youre only hating the oppressor and not uplifting the oppressed all you are doing is using a performative method to direct your anger at. being angry is good, but its not enough. you have to love too. uplift the ones that should be uplifted. celebrate black art and culture and people. celebrate blackness for the beauty it is

noted gender theorist fred durst makes reference to the concept of non-binary gender in limp bizkit’s opus “rollin’ (air raid vehicle)”, which along with the “ladies” and “fellas” refers to “the people who don’t give a fuck”
not actually a record advocating for suicide, despite the name! that would be crazy. the A side however is incredibly catchy and incredibly inconvenient to have stuck in your head. fun environmentalist single that pretty bluntly tells the listener not to give up on environmental pursuits, telling the listener that giving up on the environment is killing yourself. the B side doesn't stick as strongly in my mind but thats not any statement on the quality, i just think it's really hard to beat the face-slap that is Kill Yourself
weirdly big names for a random single i found on some youtube guys record collection. Alana Shor from Paper Cup is the female vocalist, and George Massenburg helped produce it. makes since they were all in the baltimore area.
all in all i enjoyed it 👍 cant get it out of my head

too many people think fascism is just evil for evil's sake when its actually comfort and justification for your biases, so when they get seduced by it they deny being fascist because they dont see themselves as evil.
how to fix your pants so they stop tearing in the same bloody spot every time you bend over
hey you. do you have a favourite pair of pants that keep ripping because you literally only take them off to wash them and they're getting worn. yeah me too. I'm gonna tell you what to do about that. disclaimer, this is not professional, it's not pretty, and it's not neat. it'll hold though. this works best for straight or branching rips, stay tuned for pants with a huge round hole bcuz I haven't got a damn clue what to do there.
step 1: thread needle with embroidery thread, dental floss, doubled up coat thread, really anything sturdy. the point here is to do it with shit you have so just use anything. if you only have sewing thread, cut two or three same length pieces and put them all through the same needle. whatever works.
step 2: sew the patch up with the whip stitch and make your stitches close together. whipstich summary below, YouTube has tutorials if this makes no sense, and it won't because I'm a dogshit teacher
step 4: now go back down the rip in the opposite direction using the same stitch. I go in between the first set of stitches but if yours are too close together to do that, just go over them. the closer the stitches, the sturdier the mend.
you've sewn it up, congrats. but there's still the root of the issue to fix; worn fabric. fabric tears when it wears thin, and if you have big legs or shuffle like a penguin when you walk or otherwise put friction onto the fabric, that happens quickly. so what do you do?
step 1. find sturdy fabric scraps. this can be old jeans you couldn't fix or outgrew, doubled up tshirt fabric, or my personal favourite, any fabric with a layer of shitty acrylic paint on it. I diy a lot of graphic tshirts, and I have since middle school, so I've outgrown a few. the empty part becomes decorative patches and the painted part is stronger so it becomes reinforcement patches. that's what we're doing here.
step 2: turn the pants inside out. pin or glue the patch where it needs to be. it should go over the stitching. whatever works here, Elmer's glue stick, your mom's old sewing pins, the rest of your sewing needles, even fancy shit like bias tape. if ya nasty.
step 3: sew it down. I do the running stitch or the back stitch. I'm not drawing another diagram though, so you'll have to google that or ask your crafty friend. I don't care. also try to use a similar colour string because this shit is NOT invisible. like I said, it's sturdy, not pretty.
step 4 (scary): pull on the stitches. really yank on it. if it stays on, wear it to dollar general before somewhere fancy because nobody gets dressed up to go to dollar general. if it tears right off, cry for a couple minutes (I like to use a pomodoro timer for this part) and then try again and place your stitches farther away from the frayed edges of the fabric. or use pinking shears. or those shitty craft scissors from kindergarten. if you are nasty.
there. now your pants are slightly uglier than before but you can wear them out of the house again. this is a personal preference but once I get to the point where I have to do this stuff, i add decorative patches to the outside too. if you go that route, just put fucking whatever. bands. quotes. political shit. fanart. a pic of your favourite vegetable. its supposed to be fun. have a good day everybody bye now
I regularly aqquire pins from different events that i would never wear so every few months I'll have a session of turning them into cooler more personalised ones. this is super cheap and quick to do (+drying time)
you're gonna need
- fabric scraps
- prints, images, letter cutouts, stickers, acrylic paint
- E6000/hi-tack/modge-podge
- varnish/resin
that's it
step 1
cover the old button in fabric by spreading the glue on your fabric in a thin layer and sticking it onto the pin
make sure you take the time to press the edges inside, with thicker fabrics you might find clipping the edges to help with buckling of the fabric.
step 2
do whatever the fuck you want.
you can paint the fabric, you can collage on it, you can just glue one big sticker to it (make sure to put your strong glue on it), I reused mostly magazines, super old newspapers, some misprints, my brothers super old ID photo. make sure the paper is glued flush to the fabric. you can copy designs, you can make your own, you can do whatever the hell you want. if you need inspiration look at vintage pins they were something elseee
step 3
varnish.
put a sturdy varnish to protect them from the elements. i just had matt spray varnish so i used that, i do 2-4 coats depending on the type of paper used (more fragile ones get more coats). this might interact with the ink in prints in unpredictable ways, beware. if something got too dark just go back in with a little paint between layers.
let dry
step 4
thats' it. enjoy the second life of the useless gadget you got at a convention 7 years ago.
