"What's wrong?", Din asked you, as you pressed your head against the seat next to him.

"It's so hooot."

Din laughed.

"Just one more day, mesh'la, and we'll be out of here."

You sighed again and rolled up your sleeves.

"One day too long. You know, it would be really nice here, but this-"

Din grabbed your arm and looked at you. The scars...you'd had them for a while, but he'd never really noticed them that way. It was your only way out back then, not to go completely crazy when your life was falling apart.

"Cyare... what is it?" he asked you somberly, running a finger over your arm.

"I was fighting myself," you admitted, "but that was a long time ago."

He nodded slowly and gave you a kiss on your scars.

I could easily do something about the boredom. I would have fun doing it.

Grinning, I pulled out the little bag I had hidden in a box and ran my fingers over the nice lacy underwear I had once bought. Din didn't know anything about it. It was supposed to be a surprise, but I liked the idea of driving him crazy more than waiting.

I quickly put it on, and looked at myself.

"I look good," I muttered and ran to Din in the cockpit.

"Hey, bucket head," I said. "Turn around."

"Dont call me tha-" he faltered. "Call me-.. wow... Cyar'ika... you look great- sorry, it takes my breath away..."

He took a few steps towards me and put his hands on my waist, and I slowly took off his helmet to kiss him.

Just as his grip tightened and he was about to move on, I pulled out of his grasp.

"I'm sorry sweetie, but today it's just looking," I laughed.

"What?" he asked me incredulously. "You can't do that."

"Oh yes I can, and how I can."

He sighed.

"Unfair..."

Again I had to laugh. I saw his gaze sliding from the top to the bottom of my body, I saw his greedy eyes calling out to me.

The next idea came to me.

Slowly i opened my bracelet from my wrist, and let it fall.

"Oops.", I said, bending down. "How clumsy of me."

Din made an exasperated sound.

"How long do I have to wait?"

"As long as I say so, Din."

He looked at me with that look. That look that cried out for incessant wanting.

Din took a few steps toward me, bridging the distance he'd gained again, and kissed along my neck.

"Good."

He continued, gently letting his fingers wander over my body.

"Din, I was just bored," I tried to talk my way out of it.

"You should have thought about that before," he growled. "Now I want you. Preferably right here."

"Aren't you going to introduce me to your armored companion?" he smiled.

"Hello, ex/bf/n...," you sighed, and immediately Din's hands balled into fists. He knew who your ex-boyfriend was, and he knew what he had done to you back then.

"Pretty rude not to say anything, isn't it, buddy?", Ex/Bf/N sneered, looking Din straight in his visor. He continued to remain silent.

"Funny guy.", muttered your ex, looking at you.

"You became very beautiful", he finally said. "I mean it."

"Okay," was all you said.

"Hey, want to get away together for a bit? Down for fun?" you were asked.

Now Din banged his fist on the table, so that all the attention of every living being was on you.

"Don't you realize you're not welcome?" he asked your ex.

"Hach, he can talk," your ex muttered and stood up. Din did likewise. Din was two heads taller than him.

"If I were you, I'd walk out that door right now and not come back until we're out of here," he said menacingly.

"And what if i don't?"

Now Din grabbed your ex by his neck, and threw him against the wall. Then he ran at him and dragged him out of the cantina.

After a few minutes, he came back. Looked at you.

"He's not causing any more problems."

"Is he dead?" you asked.

"No. But he understood that he should leave you alone. And with you I have to talk. But not here."

Slowly you nodded and followed him back to the Crest, where he ran his hands over his helmet and walked through the ship.

"Listen, Y/N, I- fuck. I need to tell you something and I don't know how. Fuck."

"Just tell me. And Din? Thanks. For what you did."

"Don't thank me," he muttered. "Please don't thank me."

"Well, I'm old enough to take care of myself, you know..."

"Yeah, but I love- I love you. Okay. Okay I said it and now I've scared you, right? I'm sorry, shit, I-"

"I love you too," you interrupt him. "I love you too, Din."

He stopped.

"What?"

You nodded.

"I do. And I want you to be mine."

He walked toward you and took your face in his hands.

You were on a mission together and the situation got pretty dicey because it was too many against two. You split up so the whole bunch wouldn't get on top of the two of you.

You were standing on a table when the disaster happened.

Someone pulled you off the table by your jacket, tearing it off your body in the process.

Your wings immediately tightened and Din looked at you with his head cocked to the side. Not the best day to be wearing just a top under your jacket.

Right now, you didn't have to care. Quickly you both had somehow defeated your enemies, you put on your jacket and the two of you ran back to the Crest together, where Din pressed you against the wall and let his fist fly against the wall next to your head.

"Wings?" he asked. "We've been together for years, and you didn't even consider telling me about it? I thought I knew you, Y/N."

He normally only said your name when he was very angry. And that hurt you, more than you wanted to admit.

"I thought we were telling us everything," he continued, letting go of you. "But you lied to me.... Said you kept your clothes on because you were cold. Said you felt uncomfortable when you took them off. Always changed clothes alone in a seperate room and now I understand why, Y/N. And hurt me that you didn't feel the need to tell me ANYTHING."

"Din," you cried, "I didn't tell you because- man... I'm sorry, okay?! I was afraid you were going to leave me. I was afraid you'd find me.. disgusting. because the truth is, I hate them! I hate them, I hate them more than you can fucking imagine!"

Din looked at you.

"But I love you no matter what you look like or what your body looks like. I love every little part of you and if you would have told me without me having to find out because you're being pulled off a table, I wouldn't have reacted that way either. Why do you think of me that way, Cyare?"

He put a hand on your cheek.

"I love you whether you have wings or not. No matter if you're missing a body part, or not. No matter what you look like."

You cried softly.

"I'm sorry..."

Slowly, his thumb stroked your cheek.

"No more secrets from today, okay?"

You had noticed the blue triangles on Din's gloves, and had a small one tattooed on your left hand. It didn't go over the whole hand. It was a relatively small one, about between your thumb and index finger. But it meant the world to you. You always wanted a tattoo that reminded you of someone you cared about. And with Din, that person finally came.

You lied to him. You told him you were going to buy supplies at a market, but when you entered the Razor Crest, he just looked at you without saying anything.

"What?" you asked.

"You didn't get any supplies? Where have you been for an hour?"

You could have slapped yourself. Say go get supplies and come back without.

"Happens only to me", you mutter softly, and run across the market.

Here and there you had bought a few things, and then ran back. But before you did, you put your own gloves back on. You didn't want him to see it. Maybe someday, but not now.

"I see," he laughed at you. "Not forgetting what you went to the market for this time?"

You had to grin. You loved that tone in his voice.

"What was that book about?", he asked.

"What boo- oh that book. It was, uhm, about plants."

"Plants?"

"Yeah. I like plants. Stop asking me questions."

That evening, as you lay in your bed, you stroked the tattoo over and over again and were happy. You would have loved to show it to him, but he would never have understood what it meant to you.

You just came from a mission. Absolutely exhausted and tired, you took off your jacket, gloves and shoes and sat down next to Din in the cockpit while he started the ship.

"Been a tough day," he muttered. "Harder than I expected."

"Absolutely," you muttered, staring outside.

"You sure did a good job ou- wait."

He stood up and looked at you. You couldn't see his gaze because of the helmet, but when he examined your hand in the next second, you wanted to slap yourself. Again. The gloves. The damn gloves.

Din stared from his gloves to your hand, over and over again.

"Why?"

That was all he could get out.

You swallowed.

"So... let me explain it this way. It's a sign of my deep loyalty and friendship. I've always wanted to put something on my skin that reminds me of my favorite person... and that happens to be you."

Din said nothing. He was still staring at the hand.

"That's...cute."

"Cute?"

"Yes."

You looked at him and were even more confused when he gently removed his glove, only to feel his skin on yours.

"No one's ever done anything like that for me before," he confessed. "Thank you, y/n"

Gently, you smiled. Then you looked down at the floor.

It's now or never.

"There's something else," you mumbled, "It's been burning on my mind for a long time."

"Yeah?"

Slowly, you stood up and pulled your hand away.

"Din, I'm telling you this now with hope for a good, positive answer. I didn't get this tattoo just out of loyalty. I'm in love with you. For ages."

Din lost his breath and it slammed him right back into his seat.

"Y/N..."

"It's okay," you said softly.

"Huh? I love you too. Always have," he said quickly. "And I've often dreamed of you becoming my wife. Too many times."

You blushed immediately. "What?"

He nodded.

"It's just like the dream is coming true."

"Well," you laughed, "wife maybe not right away, but we can work toward it."

Din stood up again.

"Din?" you asked after a while when you had sat down with him in the cockpit.

"What?"

You swallowed.

"Is everything all right?"

Only a slight nod he gave you.

"You know, if I did something wrong, you should tell me."

"you didn't...you know, I'm sorry if I make you feel like that, there's just a lot going on in my head right now."

Saddened, you looked to the floor.

"Okay."

He sighed. "I'm sorry, Cyare. It doesn't have anything to do with you. Well, technically it does, but it's nothing bad."

You looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Then you can tell me."

Din shook his head.

"I can't. Not yet. Be patient."

"Din, I hate playing games like this," you muttered, "Just tell me. Please. I hate it when you're so distant. If you want me to go, drop me off on the next planet, but don't make it so hard for me, please."

Din sighed in frustration.

"I would never want you to leave. Never, do you hear me? I love you. And I will forever. It's just...I want you...to marry me...and I was afraid you'd reject me if I asked you."

Your eyes widened. "Wow...so..."

Din interrupted you immediately.

"If you need more time, I accept that, but please don't leave."

You placed a hand on his.

"I wouldn't leave unless you asked me to. Never. I-I want to marry you."

Din squeezed your hand and let out a light but relieved sigh.

"Dank Farrik, I was so scared," he mumbled and stood up. He knelt down in front of you and you knelt down to him.

"Are you ready to change the vows? You must repeat after me. First in Mando'a, then normally."

You nodded excitedly. Your Mando'a was grotty, but you wanted this, at any cost.

"Mhi solus tome, mhi solus dar'tome, mhi me'dinui an, mhi ba'juri verde."

Slowly you repeated after him word for word. Then he began to say the phrases again normally.

"We are one whether we are together or apart, we will share everything and we will raise our children as warriors."

Again you repeated word for word, overjoyed that you were now finally one forever. Slowly you kissed Din.

Suddenly you heard familiar music from the next room and stood up.

It was your favorite song, blank space.

You quickly opened the door and rushed to your Mandalorian and the child. Both were already waiting for you in front of the door. Grogu on the arm of Din.

"What is this?" you asked, confused.

"We don't like it when you're down. I mean, I don't like this music as well, but... can we ask you to dance?"

You grinned and nodded. Grogu climbed on Din's shoulder and the two of you started dancing while grogu moved his head back and forth contentedly.

"So it's gonna be forever, or it's gonna get down in flames," you sang softly as the two of you danced hand in hand together.

"I sure hope that its forever," Din whispered softly. " until death do us part..."

"Even after that," you murmured, smiling.

"Hey, Mando?" her soft voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah?"

"You want me to clean your blaster too?"

I looked at her.

"If you want to. But you don't have to. You're not here to do my work."

She gave a short laugh.

"I'm cleaning mine right now, so I can clean yours too. It's no problem for me."

"Okay," I muttered. A few minutes later, she cleared her throat.

"What is it?", I asked.

"I need your blaster, you idiot."

Oh. Yes.

Slowly I handed it to her, our hands touching lightly. She had soft skin.

After a few minutes of silence, the child joined us in the cockpit. He had woken up.

"Well, if it isn't my little wombrat!" she laughed, taking the child in her arms. "Did you sleep well?"

The child laughed contentedly. She often made him laugh. She was really good with him.

"Hey, Mando. Here, your blaster. Is clean."

Nodding, I took it. Mando...she should know my name. Yes, that felt right.

"Y/N?"

"Huh?"

I exhaled.

"Din. My name is Din Djarin."

She smiled again.

"Din. Thank you for your trust."

My name out of her mouth sounded beautiful. Very much so.

"You deserve it," was all I replied.

*2 weeks later*

We just came back from a mission. I had wounded my left hand. Well, gloves don't always protect.

Slowly I pulled the left glove off my hand and looked at the wound. It was a deep wound. My glove was sticking from the inside with my blood and Y/N did not hesitate. She first saw if the child was still sleeping and then sat down with me.

"Looks bad," she muttered, rummaging around in a bag. "Wait."

A short time later, she held bactaspray in her hand and looked at me.

"This will sting for a minute."

I clenched my teeth under my helmet. Yes, it was burning. But my wound...it was healing.

"Thank you," I murmured softly and put my other hand on her shoulder.

"Not a big Deal, Mand- Din." she said, smiling gently at me. "If you have any more wounds, let me know."

I shook my head

"I'm fine, thank you."

She smiled. "I'm glad."

We decided to get supplies on a planet previously unknown to me on a day with no missions or other assignments. It was beautiful. Quite colorful.

She walked around the market with the child in her arms, and I close behind them. She bought something here and there that she thought we would need.

"An adorable child you have there with your partner," they said to her.

"Oh, he's not my- thank you," she replied and paid.

I felt this tingling inside me. It was a new feeling, but nice.

Back on the Crest first she set the kid down, then she stowed the new supplies and sat down next to me.

"Well how is my, partner?" she asked with a laugh and I had to grin. Of course, she couldn't see that. But I could see how she had this great grin on her lips. She was pretty when she laughed.

I kind of hoped she thought the same about me. She was... Perfect.

The kid loved her, she spread joy wherever she went, she cared about me, and she fought like a queen. Those were just a few examples, but she somehow made me happy just by being there and I wanted nothing more than to be able to call her "mine".

"Hey, Y/N?"

"Yes, Din?"

I exhaled heavily.

"I think I've fallen in love with you."

She looked at me incredulously.

"What, honestly?"

I nodded.

"If you don't feel the same way, that's fine, I... don't want to push you into anything. It's just, I've never met a woman like you before and the feeling I have with you is brand new. Not like Shand or Cara... you're just so-"

"Familiar." she murmured. "And the feeling you have with me...I suppose it's a tingling throughout your body, and pain when I'm not present."

I nodded.

"How do you know?"

Now she rolled her eyes.

"Because I have the same feeling about you, Din Djarin. I fell in love with you, too. Since the very beginning."

My heart was pounding.

"Well... Are you going to have a relationship with me?"

She smiled again. That beautiful smile.
