---from this article--- When we asked about John Walker’s potential future, Wyatt Russell revealed he has a storyline in mind that’s ripped straight from the comics:

“I’ve always wanted to get to the point where my character gets his arm ripped off and he’s in a wheelchair and he’s the warden of The Raft, which is the prison superheroes are kept in. So that I can continue my Marvel career sitting in an office.”

He also wants to make a team-up movie with Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes. “I’d love to do a buddy cop comedy with Sebastian in the Marvel universe,” says Russell. “I love working with those guys. They’re great. And the movies and shows that I’ve been in I’ve been proud of and I think they’re really good.” ---

I also love that both Sebastian and Wyatt have talked about how much they enjoyed making the Thunderbolts movie and how they want to do a sequel!

“We all do,” Russell reveals. “They just have to make it for little enough money. I think we’d all do a Thunderbolts movie if it was right. Because they cared about it. [Director] Jake [Schreier] really cared about it. Jake’s doing X-Men now. But they really cared about making a good movie.

“We had such a great time filming it. I think it was a really good movie. I’m really proud of it. Everyone that was in it I can speak for is very proud of it. We loved it. Loved doing it. I would do it again in a heartbeat.” ---

I'm not sure if this is well known, but for a time in the comics, John also had a prosthetic left arm like Bucky. He lost his left leg too, but he didn't get a prosthetic for it and instead used a wheelchair. In the comics, it is possible to restore people's limbs, so he eventually got his limbs back. I'm not sure if there is an in-universe reason that Bucky has never had his arm restored in the comics though (the out-of-universe reason is that it is part of his brand):

So if Bucky never got that call, I imagine he was going to make them walk to the plane while still tied up. But John wouldn't have been able to walk with his legs bound, so was Bucky planning on carrying him to the plane?
