You werenât entirely sure why you agreed to this date, you knew all about the ââno good hoodâ Dallas Winston. Your friends told you that you were crazy, that he was trouble.Â
âGood afternoonâ He said softly, his eyes were smoldering down at you, the corners of cheeks were tilted upwards in a cheeky grin.Â
Your eyebrows knitted together in slight confusion and it took all you had to control a surprised look from appearing on your face. Dallas Winston had a bad reputation around town, he was described as vulgar and rude- the type to man handle you⌠but he was being the perfect gentleman.Â
âThank you very much.â You smiled, accepting his extended arm. He escorted you into a small, run down restaurant that was well known around town for having the best burgers in three countyâs.Â
âYou look really beautiful tonightâ His words made your cheeks tint red and a shiver run down your spine.Â
âAre you cold?â He asked, instantly removing his black leather jacket and wrapping it around your shoulders.Â
âDallyâ Your hand curled around his wrist. âWait.âÂ
He looked down at your curiously, his fingers moved up to place a stray strand of hair behind your ear. âWhat is it?â His voice was tender, if you didnât know any better you would say that he was in love with you.Â
âWhyâre you being so nice to me?âÂ
âWhat do you mean?â He muttered in confusion, he studied your face, trying to find an emotion on your features that would betray your silence. âI mean, isnât it obvious?âÂ
Your extended silence made him sigh.
âI thought it was obvious? I like you, doll⌠When Iâm around you I donât want to be Dally the Greaser, I want to be someone worthy of being your man.â
âOh Dalâ You whispered as your handed trailed up to his cheek, stroking it softly with the back of your hand. âIâm sorryâ
You looked up at him guiltily, you had judged him long before you got to know him. You were disgusted in yourself⌠you hadnât even given him a chance from word go, you just assumed he was as bad as people said.Â
âYouâve got nothing to be sorry forâ He didnât ask why you were apologising, instead he wrapped his arms around your waist and rested his head in between the crook of your neck.Â
He could smell your honey and vanilla scented shampoo and he vowed to himself that he would prove himself worthy of being your guy⌠he would make you fall in love with him if it was the last thing he would do.Â
