My almost, I hope that our uncertainty wasn’t what destroyed us. Sometimes when feelings are too strong, things get out of control and people end up breaking their own hearts. I like to think that’s what broke us apart. The frequency of our feelings. My determination and you being fearful towards them and what was going to follow. You almost confessed what you were truly feeling. You almost phrased what was going through your head. You almost stayed. I almost had you. I almost loved you. You completely broke my heart. Love, Saudade.

Healing comes in waves and maybe today the waves hit the rocks and that’s okay, I am still healing.

With a heavy heart, I turned and walked away. I knew that as long as I lived I’d never forget…

Love, being in love, isn’t a constant thing. It doesn’t always flow at the same strength. It’s not always like a river in flood. It’s more like the sea. It has tides, it ebbs and flows. The thing is, when love is real, whether it’s ebbing or flowing, it’s always there, it never goes away. And that’s the only proof you can have that it is real, and not just a crush or an infatuation or a passing fancy.

I think some people are just inexplicably bonded. Drawn by forces beyond their own comprehension, they have no choice but to gravitate toward one another. Destined by fate to keep crossing paths until they finally get it right.
