Can someone talk to me about AoKuro Basara AU?
Post apocalyptic setting Japan where the country has been ruled by corrupted Teikou Clan, whose the Emperor has been so obsessed with powers that he has most of his children killed while he later appointed territories to the remaining children, allowing them to rule as subordinate kings and expend their energies in rivalries amongst each other, instead of trying to dethrone him. As a result, most of the Kings (Aomine the Blue King, Akashi the Red King, Kise the Yellow King and Murasakibara the Purple King) neglect the people they rule.

Tetsuya is the weak looking pale boy who's always left forgotten by his family, friends and villagers because of his invisible presence. He has an older twin sister named Tetsuna, who was given the title of Kuroko (Black Child), the child from the prophecy, the one who will lead a rebel group that will make a revolution in the country. Unlike his twin brother, Tetsuna has bright personality, loved and respected by the Seirin Villagers. Even though her family and villagers seemed to love Tetsuna more than Tetsuya, she cares for his brother deeply and both has sworn to protect each other at any case.
On a fateful night, the Blue King's army decided to attack Seirin Village in order to kill 'Kuroko the Black Children' to stop a further rebellion that will change the country. General Imayoshi successfully beheaded Tetsuna but the action enrages Tetsuya that decided to take her title Kuroko and continue her duty to lead his people in rebellion.
The only people who knows his true identity after disguising himself as Kuroko is Riko the prophet of his village, Junpei the leader of the village, Taiga, a former slave and a member of Teppei's circus troop that saved Tetsuya from the Blue King on the night his village was destroyed by his army. As a result, there's a big scar graced upon his back.
Having to disguise himself as his sister that leads a group of rebellion is really hard and tiring. Especially that Tetsuna has a completely different personality than Tetsuya. This situation leads Tetsuya to visits an abandoned basketball court in order to relieve his stress. It was said that basketball is a sport brought by the western countries and was really popular in the past. (a/n: note that in this post apocalyptic AU, the sport is not looking as modern as it is, the equipments they used is looking far more old fashioned than it was supposed to be)
At the basketball court, Tetsuya met a humorous pervert young man named Daiki who's an expert at the sport, and plays with Tetsuya from time to time. The two are attracted by each others personality and they gradually falling in love.
Unknown to Tetsuya, Daiki is actually Aomine the Blue King that he has sworn to kill in order to revenge his sister's death and for destroying his village. Daiki too, didn't realize that 'Tetsu' is actually Kuroko, the leader of a rebel group he's trying to kill. As the story progresses, both men's relationship becomes stronger and deepen as their struggle becomes more bloody.

At first I want to make a fem!Kuroko, Tetsuna is disguising as Tetsuya, but then it feels kinda...weird and complicated? Even thought it's still Kuroko, the pairing would lean more to Aomine x OC since Tetsuna is, IDK, even tho she serves as the genderbend for Tetsuya, she's actually more like a fan character right....so yeah.
Basically, everyone doesn't have a proper family/last name here in this AU. I changed their last name to become their title or something like that instead. Or maybe I'll make some characters stick to use their last name, like Takao and Imayoshi since it's more fitting that way...idk
Tetsuya/Tetsuna is Sarasa/Tatara, Kuroko is their title. Unlike in the original manga where everyone knew that the leader is named Tatara, in this AU, everyone else except the Seirin villagers and Taiga and Teppei only knew that the child of prophecy is titled Black Child or Kuroko. They addresses Tetsuya as Kuroko when he's disguising as Tetsuna. Damn this is complicated. Daiki is Shuuri which means he's actually Aomine the Blue King or Red King in the original manga.
Taiga is Ageha LOLOLOL I was actually wanting to give this role to Akashi, but then Ageha is an important person and shares a platonic relationship with Sarasa in the original manga, I guess Kagami is more fitting to this role than Akashi.
Which leads Seijuurou to become Akashi the Red King or Ginko the White King. Actually I wanted to cast Akashi as Asagi too...but IDK, I want Kise to joins Kuroko's group later. So yeah, Akashi became the King whom successfully escaped from the Emperor's plan of killing him, but losing his left eyesight in the progress. He bears a deep hateful filling for the Emperor after the incident.
Ryouta is Kise the Yellow King or Asagi the Blue King in the original manga. He's a little bit manipulative here just like the original Asagi but come on, who would resist a yandere Kise? Just like in Basara, no one knew that Ryouta is actually Kise the Yellow King. Under a disguise as a former member of the Yellow King's army, Ryouta infiltrates Kuroko's army under Akashi's order, plotting Kuroko and Aomine to kill each others. On the process however, Ryouta fell in love with Tetsuya and bears an inner conflict whether to proceed his plan or protects Tetsuya, even from Akashi or Daiki, Aomine the Blue King. If we have Snake King, the fake Blue King in Basara, we have Haizaki or Shougo the fake Yellow King in this AU!
Atsushi is Murasakibara the Purple King! Even though he's the oldest child and the heir of the next throne, he's really loyal to Seijuurou just like Ryouta. He acts as the Black King from Basara I guess. But since the Black King doesn't really have a great role in the original manga, IDK how to potray him in this AU. Guess I will think about it later.
Shintarou and Takao as Chacha and Zaki! Shintarou is actually another son of the Emperor. But his mother, one of the Emperor's wife, gave him away to a maid and made her stop working for the castle in order to protect Shintarou from the Emperor's killing spree. As the result of this action, the emperor killed Shintarou's mother instead. The maid is actually Takao's mother. Raised up by Takao's family makes him gradually becomes closer with Takao. And upon learning that he's actually the son of the current Emperor, and that his real mother was killed by him, Shintarou joined Shuutoku pirates group together with Takao in order to make a journey to the Emperor's land and plot a revenge against him.
Satsuki is Daiki's childhood friend and one of the governor of the Blue King's territorial land. She's engaged to Daiki but she only saw him as a brother than a real man. Same goes for Daiki. Which is why they both agrees to keep their engagement status in order to please the higher ups, but will throw it off once the other found the perfect couple of their own. Satsuki met Tetsuya one night on a hot spring and fell in love with him at first sight. Just like Daiki himself, she doesn't know that Tetsuya is actually Kuroko, Daiki's archenemy, and Tetsuya himself doesn't know that Satsuki is Momoi, the governor Aomine has trust in the most. She didn't even know that Tetsuya and Daiki has met occasionally before. But once she got the information of this situation, she fell in great despair and didn't know what to do about it. She wasn't be able to concentrate in the middle of a battle field where she has to kill Kuroko, because not only Kuroko is Tetsuya, the subject of her first love, he's also the Tetsuya Daiki knew and won't admit that he has fallen in love too with him. The wavering decision got herself killed by Kuroko in the end. Note that Kuroko or Tetsuya too, doesn't know that Satsuki is the one he had killed because she's wearing a helmet an an armor which covers most of her features. He only kill Satsuki because at that time, Satsuki herself is trying to kill Shigehiro, the bearer of Suzaku swords
that will aids him in his rebellion just like what the prophet has said.

gahhh what have i done can someone write this please because im so lazy to do it, i dont even know how to write. Maybe I'll draw for this AU when someone decided to write it as well. KLDFHKJSDFJHD
ANYWAY GUYS, sorry for the super long post. You should read Basara, it's one of the best shoujo manga I've ever read.
TL;DR, this is a story where Kuroko and Aomine are sworn enemies trying to kill each other while Tetsuya and Daiki fell in love and begins a relationship without knowing their true identities.
