I saw saw one of those mortgage tik tok trend videos and I can’t stop thinking about Bruce Wayne’s wife doing it with him.
Bruce was working, reviewing some files in the cave. She came in with two cups of coffee, a hidden camera, and the best acting abilities she could muster.
“Bruce?” she said in her most hesitant voice, placing the coffee on his desk.
“Yes?” He tore his gaze away from what he was working on. It flickered onto the cup before fixing on her with a small nod of appreciation.
“I have to tell you something,” she said slowly, as though delivering bad news, doing her best to keep a serious face.
“What is it, darling?” His brows arched softly in confusion. What could it be that she felt the need to announce beforehand?
“Bruce, I— I can’t pay the mortgage this month.”
She expected him to look puzzled, but instead his face set in a way that made it seem like she had just called him names or something .
“In the first place, what mortgage? Secondly, when have you ever had to pay for anything?” The very thought of allowing her to pay for something was so foreign, it offended him.
Her face contorted as she tried to stifle a laugh at his response. Her reaction didn’t escape him; his expression immediately softened. “This is one of those foolish TikTok trends, isn’t it?” His eyes rolled, but without real bite.
“It might be,” she admitted, lips curling into a smirk.
“That’s a relief. I thought you had gone completely mad this time,” he said in a tone that, to anyone who didn’t know Bruce Wayne personally, might have left doubt as to whether it was a joke or not. But she knew. She always knew.
