I genuinely cannot be the only person who could recognise ai-written fanfics, right? The way the sentence is written, the not x, not y, just z format. The adjective, adjective and a metaphor or an elaboration of the adjectives format. Somehow all the characters can understand each other, continuing their dialogues as if they share the same mind. The seemingly deep monologue but somehow is also vague; talking about the rain brings up a sad memory, the kind that xyz, and to never touch on that again whether in action or behaviour or dialogues. Every single fics I read recently are all this way, and it's really really concerning.

The urge to write a fanfic but having no: 1) Concrete Idea 2) Energy to do research 3) The time for it and so you just settled to sitting down and buzzing with creative need, unable to truly let it out

Going to buy a big pack of ice and put it in a bowl. Then I'm going to write my fic until the ice melts. Maybe I'll even put a drink in the bowl with ice so I'll get a little treat afterwards. Inspired by that Tiktok trend.

trying to write a long fic and getting stressed about it then writing a shorter fic as a distraction and now there's plot and more complications so im having ideas to write an even shorter fics — honestly it's like opening the Matryoshka dolls.
