╰┈➤side note: I’m sorry for any mischaracterization. I’ve been stuck on him for awhile, and seeing very little fan fictions of him makes me want to add some of my own. Poor verity needs sum love. (Uhm this can be slightly confusing to think about either being consciously in or out of the game)
Verity has been so needy after what happened. He seemed to believe your words, and truly wanted to trust you that you wouldn’t leave. Sometimes he’d always ask you strange questions like,
“Why do you need to go trade with villagers, when you can stay here with me?”
“do you ever think of me outside of the game?”
It was all strange to you, how verity will get slightly ticked off by the slightest things. For example, how you’d try to go to villages for trades or how you’d sometimes not bring verity along on your adventures, even if they were only a few meters from your base.
Curently, you had just woke up, alright starting your day off with some classic mining. You’d let verity follow you, he’d help you by telling you where all the useful ores you need.
He loved helping his favorite new friend. He wanted to see you everywhere, he loved how you kept him so close from now on.
“Hey verity! Do you know where the nearest villagers are?” You said, spinning your head back to look at him.
“80 blocks to the west!!” He said in his usual joyful tone. He seemed really happy to be with you right now.
You nodded, softly grabbing his hand. Verity stared at your hand in his for a moment, he suddenly looked back up at you, his cheeks flushing a gentle light pink.
After the village, you’re in your house crafting the supplies you’d need for the nether. Verity wasn’t too far, he was standing by, watching your every move.
He was awfully quiet since you got back home from the village, you were getting slightly anxious from the prolonged silence. You decided to form some sort of conversation with him.
“Hey verity, do you know some supplies I’d need for the nether?” You looked at him, verity paying attention to the sound of your voice.
The silence stretched for a little bit, before verity finally spoke up.
“Why do you need to go there? I’m right here, I can give you everything you need” verity spoke in a quick, desperate voice. It made you even more nervous, not wanting to make him upset again like that one night.
“Uhm, what do you mean?” You replied, tilting your head slightly at the little context given to his question.
“Ask me for the supplies you need.” Verity said in a flat tone, stepping slightly close to you. You turned your body to face him completely.
“Can… you give me some eyes of ender?” You spoke, slightly hesitant at his request.
Verity suddenly dropped half a stack of eyes of ender infront of you. You were stunted, slowly taking them in shock. You smiled up at him.
You took a few steps to him, your arms spreading out to hug him.
“Thank you!! I really didn’t know you could do that” you beamed, hugging him tighter then any normal hug you’ve given him.. Verity pausing for a moment, before wrapping his arms around you.
You gently pressed a soft kiss to his circular cheek, verity perking up st the sudden impact of your lips on him.
Out of all of his years.. out of all the people who left, he’s never had someone like this. He needed to keep you, he couldn’t ever let you leave.
Verity stayed quiet, but as soon as you tried to pull away, his grip tightened. Of course not enough to hurt you, but enough for you to know he wants you to stay put.
“Please do that again. Please kiss me again, please don’t leave me. Please take me everywhere with you, let me take care of you.” He rambled on, his mouth forming a wide smile, verity’s teeth showing.
“Please. Please [reader], pleasepleaseplease I’m not gonna ask again.” He begged, his voice getting more desperate and annoyed by the second, his hands shaking as he gripped you.
You gently pressed your lips to mouth. He had no lips but whatever works for you. Verity’s hands went to your cheeks, his hands grasping your face gently.
Once you pulled away, he stared at your face with his usual smile. But it was wider, his eyes looked so lovesick, he looked so dangerous.
“You won’t leave right? You’ll stay here and let me care for you? Always come back for me. Always.. let me be with you?” He said with a shaky tone, his hands still resting on your cheeks.
“Of course not, verity. I’ll try my best to always be here with you. And even when I’m offline, I think about you” you said with a smile. Your hands resting on his waist as you leaned your head on his chest.
“Promise me.” He had an almost silent tone. He was extremely love struck. He wanted to always feel, see, hear you everywhere. It drove him crazy how you always cared, how you always loved him.
“I promise, verity.” You said with a soft hum, your eyes closing gently as you rested on his chest. Verity looked down at you, his smile still spread across his face.
He’d finally found someone who won’t leave him. Who’ll love him forever. Who’ll stay with him. Who’ll expect him.
Verity had his own little room next to your bed upstairs. It was perfect to watch you sleep throughout the night. He loved seeing how your face scrunched up, how your cheeks squished together against the pillow, he noticed everything about you. Every single thing.
You were just about to go to bed, you noticed verity across the room, just laying there. He seemed lost in thought when you stared longer.
“Uhm, Hey verity.” Your tired voice filled the silence, sitting your body up on your bed. Verity immediately sat up once he heard your voice.
“How may I help you, dear?” He said, his voice oddly cheerful from how late it was at night.
“Would you like to lay down with me?” You said suddenly, pulling out a bed from the village you stole from, and placing it next to yours. Verity stayed silent for a moment, analyzing your face.
“Yes..” he said, slowly getting up and walked over to your bed, sitting down next to you. He gently plopped down, his smile widening ever so slightly.
Verity loved looking close up at you. You were so amazing in his eyes. You were his everything, something that kept him sane.
“Goodnight my love.” You said with a yawn, stretching your arms as you laid down.
“Good.. night, dear.” He said, his eyes still fixated on your face. He was gonna make sure you stayed forever.
This was my first ever fic of verity, I love that silly little ball.
