The hardest truth of all, you can't expect you from anyone. The way you love & the way you show that love, you can't expect it to be matched. You can only be yourself & allow everyone to show up as themselves, without expecting yourself in everyone & expecting the same love & treatment you pour into them, it will leave you disappointed. You don't need to tolerate feeling less than. You don't need to stay in any relationship that doesn't fulfill your needs. You don't need to pour more into connections that don't even meet you half way. You can choose to walk away from anyone who doesn't value your time, love, & commitment. It's not about finding you in someone else, it's about meeting someone who cherishes your time & effort, respects & love you for who you are, & never needing to question it. Expecting someone to love you the same way you love is a false narrative that will leave you empty. You can't change someone, or teach them how to love you. You either accept how they love or leave them if it's not enough.
