Trust - Owen and Liz
"It’s hard to bore someone when you are gorgeous." He said simply. Owen had always taken to recognizing beauty when it was evident. His mother had always told him to compliment all the women he came across, especially ones that looked as beautiful as she was. It was an innocent comment, one he was comfortable making and seemed casual on his lips. "Oh right you have all of us on file. Does that mean you have gone through mine?" His palms sweat at the thought of it. He was terrified of finding out his secret, he had only told Devin about the real reason why he was here.
"That’s good though. The whole wanting to get to know us. I have kind of been feeling like just a number around here from the staff. All of you are way too stiff sometimes." He chuckled.
His compliment threw her off, he seemed to say it without a care. As if he was telling her what he ate for breakfast. She questioned if he was serious or not, if he was perhaps playing her, but he didn't really seem the type. Nothing in his eyes suggested he was anything other than purely honest. Which made her wonder if he was like this with the patients too, if he was like this with every woman he met. Did he compliment them and lure them towards him so he could have them all for himself. The idea alone disgusted her and she couldn't imagine he was like that. So she smiled and nodded. "Thank you." She wasn't particularly impressed, but slightly flattered all the same. Shaking her head at his question. "No, not really. Just your picture. I'm only interested in what medicines you take, so I won't mix them up accidentally. I prefer to let the patients tell me about themselves what they want me to know." The woman shrugged. "I'm only here to tend to you physical well being. Not mentally. Although I'd like to be."
Liz nodded along. "Some do think that way.. It's sad, but I suppose that's what happens when you've been working here for a long time."
