This is so true!!! I have a friend who’s entire life revolves around her bf! I mean dont get me wrong, you SHOULD have a lot of love for your partner and thankfully enough her partner is a really nice man. But every time he isnt in town, even if it is for genuine reason, my friend is so mad and upset!! Last year when he was posted in a different city, my friend crashed out so bad. Its one thing missing your boyfriend dearly and its another not being able to function without him, and trust me it was the later. It was so bad that even her grades dropped!! Dont get me wrong, I love her and thats why I am so frustrated by her not being able to function without her bf.

And before anyone says otherwise even her therapist told her to find other people to hang out with or pick up different hobbies because she shouldnt give her man so much power to control her emotions.

Trust me i am not making ts up, every time her bf isnt in town she goes down the spiral, REALLY BAD! And I am saying all this because I am also upset how every time this man is in town, she is so out of touch with me :( And its a repeated pattern I have noticed, she clings to me only when her bf is not around, its like she constantly needs someone to hyperfixate on.

thats why i am genuinely worried because she needs to know how to live and function on her own! and right now we are in the same city and so is her bf so ofc i havent heard from her in a few days and no i am not a crazy obsessive friend, i am genuinely happy for her for having a green flag bf in this economy, just that she shouldnt make or break her mood/emotions depending on this one man’s presence/absence (and mind you even her therapist said so)
