This is mainly going off on the sheer amount of fan-service Red Barrels will make for Coyle fans but also what was said in the trailer itself, the constant talk about love and ESPECIALLY “something that craves punishment as much as a reward” or whatever. Are we getting a trial victim who’s a former reagent that fell in love with Coyle.

Coyle is also the one to mention how you “shower someone with love” before letting them go until they eventually “come crawling back”. If the trial victim is actually in love with Coyle, did he reciprocate that love at some point. Idk I’m under the belief that YES fandom behavior will actually affect certain aspects of lore in The Outlast Trials so it would make sense that the sheer amount of Coyle fans could result in there now being a trial victim who’s actually in love with him too.

We already know that Coyle is very possessive when it comes to his trial victims but idk I’ve never seen him be gentle with one. He will still torture and abuse his trial victims relentlessly but in the trailer he’s like. A bit commanding but also openly loving towards the new trial victim??? This is gonna sound crazy but, the clip where he’s getting well. Guess whats behind the mannequins. He almost looks like he goes to PET the trial victim’s head for a moment. Not to mention him gently lifting up their head with the prod and NOT shocking them. The way he turns back to look AGAIN even after he just ushered the trial victim to follow him.

Ofc I could be completely wrong and the trial victim may be forced to be a dog for Coyle (or possibly even groomed into it by him idk I wouldn’t be surprised considering how diabolical Coyle is, also he could have actually “loved” them until they began to “behave” for him) but I think having a trial victim who actually LOVES the Prime Asset they’re stuck with (and not just begging for their help because they’re scared of dying) would be very interesting and likely the first time something like that would explicitly happen in game.
