That’s… not a theory though 😅 The game essentially confirms that the Malleus is likely not capable of manifesting in a dream unless the circumstances of the dream are something he is reasonably familiar with. This is because magic in Twisted Wonderland is reliant on the limits of one’s imagination.

Because Lilia’s dream largely takes place in a period of time Malleus himself is not informed about, Malleus is not able to imagine it, and thus cannot appear yntil his own egg hatches. With that birth, Malleus now has a presence (ie “an understanding”) that allows him to enter the dream. It should also be noted that Malleus was keeping a close eye on Lilia’s dream in particular, since that’s someone he is close with—so naturally, when Lilia begins to “wake”, Malleus barges in using his new opening (his freshly hatched self) to fix things.

How Malleus’s UM works exactly is really dubious, so we can only guess the details. However, Idia tells us that while the “real” Malleus may be the boss that oversees everything, there also are many dream versions of Malleus that manage each individual dreamer.

Doesn’t that imply that there has to be a Malleus for every dream (and if not all of them, then surely most of them)? We probably just don’t see them in all instances because he isn’t a relevant character for the happiness of most of the NRC students (or, in the case of Vil, Kalim, and Jamil), they’re not at NRC in their dream worlds. There must still be Malleuses lurking around making sure the dreams are okay, and perhaps to serve as a point of entry for the “real” one. (… Still, it’s sort of funny yet sad to think about how many NRC students’ perfectly happy ideal worlds do not involve Malleus in any way, shape, or form.)

There’s a bunch of hoops the wake up squad has to jump through to not alert Malleus of their dream hopping. Ortho has to project holograms of the dreamers to trick the Malleuses overseeing their dreams into believing everything is going smoothly. They have to limit how many students can dream hop at once, because too many bodies could also tip Malleus off. Etc, etc, etc—it’s a lot of contrivances and rules. It’s like tying to tiptoe through a field you know is rigged with tons of booby traps.

I think their strategy seems to be working…? Cuz none of the Malleuses seem to have noticed to the degree where they would alert the real one to come in and stomp out the pests. So to me, Malleus not showing up doesn’t feel like the result of there being no Malleuses in those dream worlds to connect through. It’s more like he never got told in the first place that there’s an issue to be resolved.

Arguably, it should be a easier for Malleus to pull up to these dreams since they mostly take place in the present, a time period he can more easily imagine than 500 years in the past (Lilia’s dream). Some of the dreams (Idia’s, Rook’s, Epel’s, Sebek’s) take place AT Night Raven College too, a location Malleus is very familiar with as a third year student. If you want to count events (even though technically they are not canon to the main story), Malleus has also already visited the Scalding Sands in A Firelit Sky. Thus, he shouldn’t have trouble visiting Jamil’s dream either. Malleus isn’t chasing them because the game reasons that Idia’s “let’s keep Malleus distracted/keep him from noticing us!” plan is working.

With Hamilton coming out on Disney+ July 3rd (today!!), I thought it would be fitting to combine these two requests!

Hamilton is a heartfelt musical about one of America’s founding fathers, performed by actors that comprise of the far more diverse America of today. I would highly recommend it…! The music and story are superb–and that’s coming from someone who typically does not enjoy rap!!

I wrote headcanons instead of a scenario, since it would be kind of difficult to squeeze in the entire run time of the musical/movie in under 1000 words. It’s also difficult to manage balancing movie scenes and the reactions of 5 boys + Yuu in an imagine! I tried to keep the details of the musical vague as to not spoil Hamilton for those that are interested in checking it out.

Curiouser and Curiouser…

Ace Trappola…

…hogs all the popcorn when you crowd around the TV for movie night.

Complains loudly when you tell him you’re going to catch a musical–and not just any musical, but a historical one! (“Seriously? You couldn’t have picked something cooler?”)

He grumbles about the selection, but shuts up and accepts it since it’s your turn to choose the movie anyway.

Flicks pieces of popcorn at the others during the opening.

Despite all of Ace’s whining, he does end up getting pulled in by the story and the music of Hamilton.

Really expressive–lets out a ton of “Oooooh!”s and “Aaaaah!”s during particularly impressive scenes.

“Uwaaaah, that was great! Way better than I expected!” he declares during the credits. (And no, those aren’t tears in his eyes! It’s just a pollen allergy, a pollen allergy!)

Ace will be much more willing to watch your movie picks in the future–you clearly have great taste!

Deuce Spade…

…is eager to watch! He’s usually the type to go for a good action flick, but trying new things is fun, too!

He gets very engrossed in Hamilton during the entire run time, leaning forward slightly to get a good look at how the actors are moving–even during when they’re frozen or caught in dimmed lights.

Deuce really, really gets into it. He starts singing along with the songs once he gets a general feel of the tune (even if he gets all the lyrics wrong).

Gets tongue tied with all the rapping, but that won’t stop him from trying to belt out the songs.

Shouts during the argumentative scenes too…! The cabinet battles get intense between the delegates (and Deuce shouting at them).

Tears up and sniffles during the wedding–and any subsequent scenes involving Hamilton and the Schuyler sisters–Deuce is a sucker for romances!

Once the musical is over, Deuce is already begging you to rewatch it. “J-Just once more! Once more! It’s too good not to see another time…!”

Jack Howl…

…is a very “pragmatic” movie-goer.

That is to say, he keeps to himself and tries to focus on the movie–but whenever something slightly illogical happens, Jack feels like he needs to give his two cents on what the characters should be doing or should have done. Either that, or he questions the absurdity of the situation.

He went into this expecting historical accuracy–maybe it will help him study for that upcoming Magic History exam?–and realism, not drama.

“…Everyone in town is singing and dancing.”

“Why don’t they just talk to each other about it? They’re all grown, consenting adults. Do they really need to go to all that trouble?”

“…They’re rapping for a debate?” (”Shhhh! Just shut up and watch the damn thing already!” Ace hisses.)

Jack will happily give you a detailed verbal review once the musical is over. He concludes with a small smile and the comment, “…It was pretty good overall. Silly sometimes, but still pretty good.”

Epel Felmier…

…is generally quiet upon the viewing, like Jack.

He might let out an occasional gasp or something, but he won’t make any long-winded comments like some of his peers do.

Epel screams very loud (and his country accent pops out!) at some points, especially during the climax of the movie!

His favorite character is Peggy! Epel feels like he relates a lot to her, even if she does not play a very prominent role int the musical.

…Epel also thinks that Angelica and Eliza remind him of Vil and Rook. But he’ll never say that out loud, nope!

In fact, Epel has a lot of fun drawing parallels between the characters in the musical to people he knows in real life. It helps him connect to Hamilton.

You can catch him humming along quietly to the songs!

“Wow…Hamilton was such an interesting man.” Epel muses to himself as the credits roll. “This…! This settles it! I’m gonna work harder than ever before…! So I can accomplish some amazing things like Hamilton!”

Sebek Zigvolt…

…is like a storm of emotions from start to finish. Think of a roller coaster–that is Sebek.

He does not sing along to the songs like Deuce does, but he really feels for the characters and what they’re going through.

Their struggles, their emotions, their suffering…Sebek bears it all with them!

Joins Deuce in shouting at the screen during arguments and other tense scenes in the musical.

Gets particularly offended and passionate during the parts where characters betray or backstab each other–what about their loyalty, their camaraderie?! Sebek would never even dare to think of betraying his Young Master like that.

He cries during both the happy moment and the sad moments. Loudly.

By the time the final song is playing and the curtains close, Sebek is one giant, sobbing mess of a man. Barely comprehensible. 

Since the Ghost Marriage event is coming up soon, I decided to fulfill this request sooner than the others. Please note that, as of writing this, the event itself is not live, so there many be inaccuracies with my depiction of the characters and scenes in my writing.

I will make this one quite short, as requested (and to make it easier on myself to get through the rest of my inbox)! It’s more on the silly side, too.

Imagine this...

“Awful!” the Ghost Bride screeched like a banshee (well, she was one) and threw her bouquet of dead flowers onto the ground. “You’re all awful men!”

She pointed a decaying finger accusingly, listing off her criticism of each boy in turn.

“Unrefined!”

At the remark, Epel snorted--and Yuu granted him a small, reassuring pat on the shoulder.

“Perverted!”

“Mon dieu! What a harsh remark!” Rook cries, throwing a hand out with a dramatic flair. “Your words, they wound me, like arrows nicking the flesh of a newborn fawn!”

“...You didn’t deny it, though,” Yuu muttered under her breath.

“Stupid!”

“Oi, oi, who’re you calling stupid?!” Ace retorted, only to have his dorm leader clamp a hand over his mouth to silence him.

“Keep quiet,” Riddle hissed through gritted teeth. “You’re going to anger her.”

“Uptight!”

Riddle pursed his lips into a straight line, but held his tongue.

Yuu groaned, holding her head in her hands. Things were going downhill, and they were going downhill fast. So much for saving the school--she may as well kiss Night Raven College good-bye, newly minted as property to a legion of the undead.

“Even you! You, whom I thought to be my fated prince,” the Ghost Bride roared, whipping her head to face Idia, “you are already taken...! And by a mortal woman, no less...!!”

Idia shrank back, whimpering and trembling badly.

Upon witnessing that, a fire ignited inside of Yuu--and she leapt into action.

“Hey--that’s enough!” she cut in, stepping in front of her boyfriend, seething. “You demanded a groom, and we went out of our way to give you so many candidates to choose from! Instead of insulting us, how about showing some gratitude?!”

The Ghost Bride glowered. “You offered me spoiled meat, not prime rib! Am I meant to be excited to be served slop?!”

“They aren’t slop, they’re my friends--and they should be treated with respect, even if they’re perverts and idiots! They’re my perverts and idiots!”

“I...I’m not either of those, though...”

“Ahhh, it still hurts just as much the second time!”

“Hey, stop calling me an idiot!”

“Be quiet already, Ace!”

“SILENCE!” the Ghost Bride wailed, her scream immediately quieting the boys. Her hollow eyes dug into the recesses of Yuu’s soul. “You, girl...you are a feisty one.”

A moment passed, then two.

“I’ve decided!” the Ghost Bride announced. Suddenly, she was beaming--and she seized Yuu’s hands in her own. “I shall marry you, my fair lady!”

“W-WHAAAAT?!”

It was Idia that had screamed.

“It’s clear to me that you lot are useless!” the Ghost Bride gestured to the boys in waiting. “Better that I make my eternal vows with a damsel worth a damn than a man that cannot meet my high standards!”

“Hold on, I never agreed to any of this...!” Yuu sputtered in protest. “A-And Idia is my boyfriend...!”

Imagine him coming to when Ace shakes him out of it. The red head’s voice is frantic. He looks down and sees his hands stained red and your tormentors are groaning in agony across the floor, their faces masterpieces of blue and indigo. You are nowhere to be seen.

Imagine the look of absolute regret on his face when you find him in the infirmary after getting his bleeding knuckles patched up, his head hung low and his eyes refusing to meet you. Imagine how he would have spent the entire time beating himself up, just knowing that you for sure were going to break up with him after witnessing just how brutal his aggressive side can be

Imagine his surprise when you gently take his bandaged hands and place loving kisses on every fingertip and knuckle, asking him if he was alright in the softest voice imaginable, your eyes shining with concern

Imagine his shock when you whole-heartedly thank him for sticking up for you, when you look at him so gratefully as you explain how safe you feel to have him by your side, how you know that he would never let you come to harm, how you left to get a teacher to explain your side of the story so that he doesn’t get in trouble for being so noble and how worried you were to hear from Ace that he was admitted to the infirmary.

Imagine him feeling so loved after learning that you still love him despite seeing that the part of him that was drawn to violence still existed - in fact, maybe you love him more after learning that.

Imagine Deuce thinking that maybe his shameful past isn’t as shameful as he thought it was since it gave him the skills he needed to protect you

Accidentally proposing by giving him a rock (Malleus)

Being friends with fae is confusing sometimes. Of course, they’re great! But their culture is new to you, and you’re trying to learn. Of course there’s bound to be misunderstandings and mistakes every so often! It’s part of the learning process.

Well, this is probably the biggest misunderstanding that could’ve possibly happened.

You’d simply wanted to give Malleus a gift to help express how much you care about him. So when you found this nice smooth black rock with specks of gray and green, you thought it was perfect for him. Who doesn’t love rocks anyway? From what you’ve learned about fae, they’re very in tune and connected to nature. So surely Malleus would appreciate the rock!

So when you see him next, you told him had a gift for him. But when you held the rock out to him, he was…stunned to say the least. The ever so calm Malleus Draconia had wide eyes when he saw it, and he’d gone completely stiff and silent. In hindsight, that definitely should’ve told you something was wrong. But at the time, you naively thought he was just stunned you gave him a gift. You were well aware he hasn’t gotten to experience friendships like the average person first most of his life. So it made sense why he’d be surprised when you gave him a gift. He’s not used to receiving gifts.
