When do you lose your patience on love?

All I wanted was to be a happy wife living a happy life with a happy spouse in a happy house. 

instead I’m a wife before a wedding and a girlfriend before a friend who is played and ran thin until she could collapse and give up. Hopeless. Lost in a world of deception, lust, and fornication. You here masks the pain and longing I feel inside; Like a dog in a pound waiting for a new owner to take him home. The worker is great and you love the attention and care they bring but it’s nothing like your own owner who you get to cherish everyday of your life. Until death. Then its the there after. 

Say that doesn’t happen though, and you are stuck in the pound meeting and seeing new and old workers everyday and families looking for a lifelong pet to take home. You try you’re best to be good, to be perfect, to be seen. To the kennel with you. You were great but this one is better. Worthless. Beaten around emotionally physically. Manipulated into some sort of false hope and belief that you are worth something more that you are valued. When really. Fetch for 20 minutes and I’m good. Thanks though. You did a great job! Good dog.
