Hey world, It's me John, are you listening?

So on June 3, 2015, my friend Raphaela took me to this incredible Dive Bar right down the road from her condo and our school. Aside from the inexpensive beer and tacos (which were a steal for only 140php especially since how great they tasted), the ambience and complete grunginess of the place put me under a spell as soon as I stepped through the door. I honestly felt like I wasn't cool enough to be there. The crowd was a mix of college students from New Manila, as well as working men who just finished a long day at the office and were itching for a few beers to relax. The bar (which I can't seem to remember the name at this exact moment) had a lot of character. If you're looking for a dive bar with cheap drinks and delicious food, or a bar with a grungy feel and a look to it that just may make you feel like you're not cool enough to hang there, then this has definitely got to be a place for you to try out. You can find this in Quezon City, Philippines. Specifically along E. Rodriguez, right next to Craft coffee shop and in front of the McDonald's Right by St. Josephs College.

Haven't been on tumblr in ages! This is my first real post in a while, and I'm glad to say I am back in the Philippines and am now an official nursing student! After a short vacation back in the States, I'm back and glad to be back with family and friends (although quite sad to have left my parents and brother behind in the states. What I plan to do is to document more of my travels and experiences here in the Philppines and try and capture its essence, as well as visiting it's best locations if I can! With me in this picture is my beautiful friend Raphaela, who is also an official nursing student!
