Ghost Shark and Lavalantula are both classics. But you canât go wrong with the Sharknado franchise.
Are they related to shark boy and lava girl?

Hasnât most of your complaining been about how people wonât see you or you fail at auditions? Sounds like you got an undeserved ego.Â
Iâm just having a rough year.Â
tripplectheartistâ:
They are somehow both overly serious, and peak comedy.
Interesting, any recs?
tripplectheartistâ:
I mean, I could. It depends on your opinion of terrible science fiction movies.
I donât really watch them.Â

Youâre just full of bad luck, dude.Â

Someone entertain me? I had to wait in line at an audition all day for the director to get sick at the end and cancel, so I never even got seen.
tripplectheartistâ:
In a good day sorta way, or a bad day sorta way?Â
bad - ish. I kind of loathe dance calls.

I am ready for today to be done, glass of whiskey is in hand.

Unfortunately his suspicions seemed to be confirmed by the otherâs words - the man hadnât really gotten much in the way of roles. To think this man got passed up over⌠A cornbread musical, well that didnât seem to fit things right in his mind. âI do hope you end up reaching higher. Youâve got quite a lot of star quality, darling,â Ash was quick to compliment. In the back of his mind he was considering perhaps helping the man out in some way - whether that be wardrobe or makeup. If not to propel the man forward, but to also perhaps buy some extra time.Â
â I mean, i hope to star on a TV Show, or -- maybe get on Broadway.â he said, obviously slightly annoyed his. break hadnât quite happened yet.  He smiled softly, eyes  fixing on his counterpart for a moment as he took a sip from his mug.  â And thatâs why you like doing my makeup?â he chuckled.Â
queenashxoâ:
âOccasionally you do have a partner, but oftentimes youâre left alone at a bar or nightclub. Sometimes youâre so lucky as to be the only queen on stage.â The latter was a much more rare instance, but he had a handful of showings where it was just him. As Jesse went on again about his acting chops Ash had managed to pick up something - he had a lot of endeavors that either didnât seem too⌠spectacular, or didnât end up going through. It was a shame, really, since Jesse did seem to have the charm and look to capture an audience. Teeth teasing at his bottom lip he set his drink down and rested a hand on the table, tapping it as he caught eyes with the other. âTell me about your biggest role,â he asked the other, wanting to see how far heâd gotten.Â
â I hate sharing the spotlight, so --- I can see where thatâs coming from.â He laughed a little, leaning forward.  â oh? I did a pilot for a show about a bunch of 20 something pansexuals in Des Moinds, it never got picked up, but, it had potential, I was the leadâ he nodded.  â I also did Will Parker in Oklahoma in a pretty big Boston regional theatre a few season back, we almost transferred to Broadway, but the one that feeds the audience cornbread got selected instead.â He shrugged.Â
queenashxoâ:
Well that added a layer of intrigue. A lot of men he met got to Drag Race and stopped there - many didnât bother to give a queen a passing glance past her season. As he gave a quiet thank you to the barista that provided his drink he then turned his attention back to Jesse, a bit of a warm smile showing on his lips. âFor one, you just earned a point,â Ash half-teased, taking a sip from his drink and setting it down on the table. âFor two - when it comes to costume changes we actually take a lot of inspiration from magicians and circus performers. Depends on how lavish you want to be.â
âI mean, I love good internet funnies as much as the next guy, â He looked back up at Ashley for a second before pulling his mug up to his lips and taking a long sip, eyes still looking at him. â I respect that. I mean --- usually in a musical, a quick change comes with the help of a crew mate, Iâm sure nightclubs and bars donât have the luxury.â he commented, setting his mug down. âbut I can appreciate a costumed spectacle.... I mean, I did do the out of town tryout for the illfated Beach Boys musical a couple years back.â
queenashxoâ:
Movie magic it certainly was, but he couldnât help but feel as if it was partly ruined for him. His nose curled slightly at the thought of stepping in a mush of half-cooked instant potatoes - the mere thought of that being enough to quell any possible lingering desire of movie stardom. âWell, I will never be able to see a movie and not think of mashed potato snowballs again,â Ashley laughed, though he couldnât be too wigged out. âI suppose if I gave drag secrets, though, I could garner a similar reaction.â
âDrag secrets? I do watch Uuuuhhhh with Trixie and Katya, or Iâm a little familiar, but --- how much could you be hiding?â He leaned forward, as the cup was set before him, taking a sip.

âI would hope theyâd accommodate for your allergies,â Ash said in a half-tease, though part of him was serious about that. It seemed as if Jesseâs allergies werenât too severe, but either way it seemed right to not trigger any reaction. At the mention of suds in the place of snow Ash arched a brow, that coming off a bit surprising to him. âIâd assumed it was fake, but suds?â he said a bit incredulously. In his mind it was some sort of powder or plastic.Â
â Well, Iâm fine, as long as Iâm not like --- in an inclosed space with a fresh, smell tree. Even then Iâm not dying, itâs sniffles.â he laughed a little, running his hands through his hair.  âYeah, they have men come around in suits with this thing that looks like a vacuum, and it spits out supper dense foam suds.â he chuckled, âif you need it too be stepped in? instant masked potatoes, half prepared.â he added.  âMagic, at itâs best.â
queenashxoâ:
Ash made his way easily to the place the other man pointed out, once again opening up the door and allowing the other to follow him. He ordered himself a Chai latte as thatâd be much more what he was used to, afterwards turning his attention back to Jesse. âIâll admit, Iâm a bit of a sucker for cheesy holiday fare,â he chuckled. That more meant stuff such as Love, Actually and the various Rankin-Bass holiday specials, but if Jesse was in a few of these Hallmark movies perhaps he could give them a try.
Jesse ordered his own chai and took a seat, sinking into a cozy booth and letting out a happy sigh. â I love holidays. Thereâs some thing a little cheesy and a little magical. I just wish I wasnât allergic to pine.â he laughed a little.  âLuckily, for filming, itâs all fake, did you know the snow is like tightly packed suds?â
